Elikon Autofocus is a Konica C35 copy,
didn't try it as I have to many cameras,
I listed this camera on eBay if interested, it is brand new

Agat 18k is cool camera,
it has good Industar lens (not a cheap plastic "Lomo style")
runs without battery,
ISO max is 1600, nice to have for pushing film

Yes, surprising at this point in time. The body was rated in 'GOOD' condition, or 70-79% of original. There's a bit of pitting to the left of the viewfinder window; three barely noticeable dings in the prism housing, and the usual bottom plate tripod screw scuffing, with noticeable pitting on one of the bottom plate screw heads, and a scratch leading to/from another of the bottom plate screw head slots. Meanwhile, Roberts sold it with a six-month warranty. Looks really good for late 1960s camera to me. I've shot 2/3 of a 36-shot roll of HP4+ with it, and find its mechanics smooth and sharp.

The lens was described as "lots of wear, front ring damage, works good", and "clean glass", ending with "OK condition, light wear and scratches from previous use.". The slight paint loss on focusing ring knurling is barely noticeable, and my filter ring dent tool made short work of the ring damage, As expected, KEH was correct about the "clean glass" and "works good" statements.

The eBay item numbers were 142778865879 and 372288753806.

At my otically mint sample the swinging open of the front cover will not aline the barrel truly perpendicular. It remains very slightly inclined. I have to pull the barrel itself slightly so that I feel that it is perpendicular at end position. Do you experience the same with your sample?

Also the aperture ring (lubrication dried out ?) is so stiff that without rubber gloves it is hard to twist.

Interestingly at the back cover there was some precice milling applied to make it go smoother. Likely the mould shaping was not perfect.

When I was only 18 years old, so very long ago, I learned of the 9.5mm format - it seemed so sensible and superior to others.

Unfortunately, I've never seen actual 9.5mm film with the central sprocket hole nor have I seen a 9.5mm ciné camera.

Not at all; it had many advantages. The supposed "weakness" in film transport was due to cheap or toy projectors. However, what caused its downfall was intense competition from Kodak pushing the inferior 8mm, but with better marketing.

So how come Kodak did not employ central perforation? Was it copyright protected or something? I'm still not convinced.

Although I truly don't know, it's likely that Pathé patented the technique and that when 8mm was introduced 10 years later, in 1932, the patent was still in effect.

However, side-perforated 16mm film was introduced in the 1920's and side perforated 35mm film was introduced well before that - so side perforations were "the norm" and a logical way to design film for transport within a camera body. It may be that Pathé itself was seeking a novel method. Even so, in terms of image area and quality, 9.5mm was superior and its central sprocket hole was not a disadvantage with proper equipment.

My first love in used condition, for just above 20$. Seller had the meter specified "dead". Turns out the wire needed resoldering. Although I use OM-4, there's something about OM-1 that attracts me more than any other machine.

I recently( about 2 months time) bought a Minolta SRT-100 mint-,a Minolta X-700 Mint, a Pentax ME Super Mint and a Nikon EM Mint-( my 2nd}. I know this is a problem, but I've learned to embrace it!
