Many years ago my brother-in-law was at a flea market and was looking through a bushel basket under a fellows table and pulled out a Canon P, in its case with that exact same lens. He ask the fellow what he had to have for it and the fellow said $15.00. My brother-in-law was thinking of asking his wife for a $5.00 bill since he only had $10.00 left in his pocket. While he hesitated the guy, thinking he was going to put it down, said alright you can have it for $10.00. So much for the old say, 'he who hesitates is lost" A few weeks later he gave the camera to me and said use it as much as you like.I did and was absolutely floored by the results of that black-nosed beauty. It was one of, if not the best, 50mm 1.8 or any aperture lenses I have ever used. Stunning pretty well covers it. I told him if he ever wanted to sell it I would like first crack at it. I found out later he sold it to a fellow worker where he worked. Our relationship was never quite the same after that. He's gone now and so is that lovely Canon black-nose 50mm f1.8. I miss them both.........John W
Thanks for the mini review and interesting story, unfortunately I didn't pay $10 but 65, still I think it's a good price for it, I bought it with my "new" L-1 that you can see in the other page, the seller also gave me the hood so it's more or less a complete set.
I wanted to get the 1.4 but it was too expensive so I decided to get a 1.8 if I could find one at decent price, I'm looking forward to receiving the package and test it, I already have a 7s which is a wonderful RF and a canon f1.2 that is not a wonderful lens.

Just picked up an excellent condition Canon A-1 with the 50mm f/1.8 FD lens for $17. The camera has all the mode but manual. Well yes it can be used in manual but quite inconvenient.
Hassel-bad, maybe. Or, it could be a dead or alive cat.Is that a Hasselblad?
Actually I bought these two last year, but still I would like to share a pic:
And a more difficult Rubiks cube?
