This week a yahsica T4 super, another Olympus stylus (from the thrift store). In the last month rescued 2 minolta's from the flea market black hole. An xg1 (came with cheap cpc 60-200/4 zoom) and an x300 (came with newer version of the md50/1.7).

Oh yea, and an AE-1 with canon 135/3.5 and a dented filter ring fd24/2.8 thrown in for free.

And a more difficult Rubiks cube?

Until I looked at the background, I thought that was a comment about the Contax.

Not a real camera, I used my cell phone and cropped the image up and down because there was nothing interesting...sorry to be a disappointment!

It looks like the original was a 4"x5" slide cut down to 2"x4" with the cropping. Not as challenging as a Rubik's Cube.

New Old Camera

I Just bought a Mint Nikon N80. This is great multi-featured compact, well made camera. I also have an F-100 that I bought new when it came out(my favorite film camera). Although, I shoot a lot of digital with my D90 I still shoot film and always will! This is a great site . It's a great relief from all the digital talk everywhere else!:D

Nikon EM with an with an off-brand 80-200 zoom from a local yard sale. Just dusty and otherwise excellent. Also was gifted an Argus Micro 28 (IDK what it is) in horrid condition but with "found film" at least!!! In the same bag was a very dusty but otherwise excellent looking Brownie Model 3.

Olympus 35RD as received from forum member n2mf following quickie detailing but before CLA:
4season-albums-camera-collection-picture115674-p8270006.jpg

I quickly ran into complications with the CLA and spent way too many hours at it, but I prevailed in the end.

Photographed with a 2015-model Olympus BTW! Stylus Tough TG4.

Rescued 2 more from the flea market. Pentax k1000 in what looks like never been used condition, Hong Kong production model. Came with a generic 35-70 3.5 zoom in also like new/never used condition. No markings on it to tell what manufacturer however very well built and smooth as silk focusing/zooming. Also a smc 50/2 with it. Additionally, a Nikon FM black body rescued. Came with a bunch of crap lenses, some if not all dysfunctional. No worries, wanted the body.

Hi Cuthbert,

How do you get on with the focusing and the "Contax grip" I'm thinking of adding a Kiev to my FSU collection.

Keep buying :D

Picked up a Pentax K1000 with Vivitar 28-135 for $15.00. The aperture doesn't seem to stop down on the Vivitar, but the camera seems fine. Shutter speeds sound OK. 0901151744.jpg

Also found this little Canon that might be a good pocket camera for $5.00. Probably better than buying a Holga. 0901151745.jpg

Congratulations - in my opinion, the F4 is the best professional grade camera Nikon has ever made.

I never tried the F4, it's a mystery to me. But it looks too big and heavy compared to F3 and F2.

Too big - no.
Too heavy - probably compared to F2 and F3.
But it handles perfectly.

Give it a try if you have the chance.

The F=100 is lighter and more advanced than the F4.
