A fully functional SL35M with Planar 50 F/1.4. Lightmeter seems to be working correctly.

Since getting the Kodak Special Six-20 (6x9), I couldn't help but get the (slightly) bigger brother, the Kodak Special Six-16 (~6x12). Should be here next week.

A $20 Pentax ME Super w/ a big zoom is slowly headed my way thru the postal system. The person who put the speed controls on top of the camera w/ tiny buttons to press should be arrested, what a lousy idea, but at least I'll have some control over the shots. My MV is a P&S and doesn't always nail the exposures.

I think the Statute of Limitations might apply here, unless you are saying that the offence should be classified as indictable (roughly equivalent to your "felony" classification) :D

Very nice acquisition, great camera!
You will love it!
I really like mine.
What can you tell me about it? What are the reasons you like it? I've read a few articles which convinced me it was a must-have camera for me, but I know little about it. I have the Minolta SRT-101 and 102 and I'm not sure how it compares if at all.

I like the size and ergonomics. My fingers just fall into place for all the controls and even though I mostly shoot in aperture priority, shooting in manual is a breeze due to the large(ish) and very easy moving shutter speed dial.
I also have an SRT-101 and 102, the 570 is a bit smaller and a bit lighter, feels solid in the hand. Focusing is much quicker with the 570 due to the split image viewfinder and it seems to be a bit brighter as well. A full info readout in manual mode excels over the X-700, which it lacks, and the lack of a Program mode is moot (who needs it). The 570 has a slow shutter speed beep beep which is annoying but can be shut off.
The Auto Winder G is a nice addition as it gives it a better purchase especially with longer lenses. I also recommend the 45mm F2 lens.
It's only flaw(?) is the dead capacitor problem that plagues some. If you're handy it is easily replaced but garryscamera.com will replace it and a complete cla for $70 which includes shipping and turnaround is about 1 week.
Overall it's a very nice camera that you will not be disappointed with.

Thanks for all the info! I have never had a winder on a camera and will look into that. I am fortunate to have a nice 45mm F2 lens. I am really looking forward to using it.

Konica FT-1. Shutter worked, but little else. Cleaned the Gunk(tm) off the ribbon cables under the top cover, re-insulated with some quality electrical tape, and my $30 camera is working perfectly-- auto load, light meter, auto-exposure, and a mind-blowing 2 FPS continuous shooting mode.

Just got my first American camera:

A Brownie Target Six-16, mint condition apart fro ma tiny scratch on the front. Just cleaned the lens, viewfinders and the screen in the front board and it looks almost new. Zeiss Box Tengor for scale.

What's described as a French 7x5 camera, in bits, they are all there in the photos. But it's actually a 13x18 Reisekamera, the seller can't work out how to reassemble it :D So the price matched

It's completely different from the SRTs. Smoother operation, much lighter, aperture priority instead of needle-&-match, quieter. The shutter speed LEDs and a little mirror in the viewfinder let you see the exact settings on the fly without removing it from your eye.

I got the camera and it looked factory new. I put a 45mm lens on it and it feels very good in my hands. Just the right size and weight. I really like everything about it.

Love that Konica FT-1, it looks very much like the Pentax/Chinon/Revue/Ricoh cameras.

Great! It was my first Minolta and is my favorite. While JWD722 recommended the Autowinder G, I had the similar Autowinder GP but vastly prefer the MotorDrive 1. It really enhances the ergonomics and adds a solid feel to the camera. It also has buttons conveniently placed for both landscape and portrait orientation.

Good to know. Thanks for the tip!

Pentax 35-70 "A" macro zoom. Manual focus, manual zoom ... far "sharper" than Nikon 35-70 or the infamous Vivitar macro zooms. Very compact. ... use it on "auto" or switch with one click to Pentax's little-known built in "hdr" (not supposed to mention that in analog forum but it works equally well with fillum. Can punch-up contrast in all sorts of lighting conditions including glaring sunshine and dark of night...

As packed for sale, everything was present, and it was re-assembled in a few hours. A French Chambre de Voyage

I did have to do some repairs to the tongue and groove parts that lock the camera open. The screw holes on the lens board show that there was originally a TP shutter fitted, almost certainly from new, so I'll refit one. Meanwhile, I added the Illex Paragon lens as it happened to fit.

Wow, nice find!

My latest finds are a Vanta G-5 camera and a Vivitar 19mm f3.8 -- both in mint condition -- from different sellers.

You might know about the Vivitar, but not the Vanta.

Can’t get to that site for some reason, although I’ve been there in the past.

That Vanta is an interesting find. What film did it use?
