Nice! What finder did you get with it? I have both the original and the later AE-S. I actually prefer the original, much easier to see the exposure settings.

My latest working camera is a Pentax ME Super. I just took it out for the first time today and am pretty happy so far!

Of course, on the same day, I received an Olympus OMG with a messed up EV/ISO dial...which is now my eighth broken camera in 6 months.

I very recently purchased a Minolta SRT 201 with a 50mm f1.7 MD lens. The camera is about as near mint as it can get and I doubt if more than 1 roll of film ever graced its innards. As if that weren't enough, I got it for a mere $40.00.

In the very early 70's I traded a Nikon FTN with a 50mm lens for a brand new Minolta SRT 101 with a 58mm f1.4 lens which as I recall was selling for $300.00. It took some time but I finally talked the dealer into the trade, all it cost me was tax. A few years later I purchased a used black 102. I don't remember what happened to those cameras but I sure did use them a lot. Now almost 50 years later I am starting to reacquaint myself with these gems of a camera. (I may trade my current stable of Nikons for Minoltas again!)

I just received a Nikon F4 with the 50mm f1.4. I've ordered a user manual so I can figure out how to use it. With it's weight and apparent solidity it would make a fine defensive weapon1

I'm almost (but not quite) embarrassed to say this, but I've replaced my two original Leicaflex cameras w/ a $55 Nikon N8008s. The 90 Elmarit is on the Nikon right now w/ an adapter. It came down to the Nikon being a better tool, and I can't see the whole viewfinder on the Leica w/ my glasses on but can on the Nikon. So I'm back to shooting Leica glass on Nikon bodies, but this N8008s is almost mint! Never saw one like it. Even w/ having to shoot it in stop down metering mode w/ the Leica lens, it has AE and AE-Lock so that's a breeze. It's actually much easier, and faster to shoot, then the Leica.

Never knew anything about these 30 years ago. Still in my first roll of film. Shoots nicely, and feels like the others of the era on the same chassis, Except it has the cheesy bolt on grip thing which is quite nice. It has matrix metering, and "modern" A and P modes.

It was a lot cheaper than what people are asking for FM2s on ebay. Maybe people don't trust the electronic shutter.

The last was a Canon eos 5/A2, with eye controlled af.
Is great, has everything , is quiet and with a smooth shutter.
I bought to use with Tamron 70-300.
Before i bought a Canon 650 , the first EOS to be made, for only 13 eu.
from Germany, but wasn't still fitted for stabilized lenses , while the 600
that came some months after was stabilized.

I think these are the last bargains one can find on the 35mm market, with Nikon f90,
f801 and some others of that ages.

This one caught my eye when I entered a local photo and art studio and gallery. I learned that the owner of the gallery is sometimes asked by folks to dispose of a husband's or father's photography gear after their passing and this Super Fujica 6 was just such an item. The camera still had built up skin oils showing as brownish stains on the covering just where ones fingers and hands would grip it, but otherwise appeared in good shape. This is a camera I've always wanted to add to my 6x6 folder collection but the prices for good examples were more than I wanted to invest. During the negotiations, we checked the Seikosha-MX shutter and the bellows for any pinholes. The shutter is hesitant and sluggish and the bellows have several pinholes. So I struck a bargain with the gallery owner and went home with it. A bit of dish soap on a damp cloth took the aged skin oil off the covering, and coat of carnuba and buffing made it shine nicely. A soft brush got rid of the built up dust on the metal exterior and now the camera looks ready to go shooting. I'll be ordering a bellows from Sandeha Lynch and shipping it off to Zacks to get the shutter serviced and bellows installed.

Okay, my latest new old camera is a Century Graphic (2x3 version of a Pacemaker generation Crown), Ektar 101/4.5, and RF calibrated for this lens, and came with a Graflex RH10 6x7 roll film back. I bought a Graflex 23 6x9 roll back for it off eBay on the weekend, and all the backs for my RB67 will fit (and I think they'll work, they're first gen with easy defeat tabs to remove the dark slides), so that gives me another 6x7 and a 6x4.5, plus I already had a Graflex 22 that I've used on the RB67.

Need to load it up and shoot a test roll -- and catch up on my processing/scanning...

I just got both a Fed 3, and a Praktica MTL3. The Fed came with a black Industar 50, and the Praktica a multi-coated Penticon 50mm f1.8.

I don't know how I am going to use a filter and hood on the Industar.

My latest old/new camera is my Canon EOS630, that I actually bought new a very long while ago, but I recently solved its "fast battery drain" issue AND also found rechargeable batteries and charger for it. So it's new again.
To celebrate, I bought also a mirror tele lens and an adapter that brings "focus confirm" with a beep from the autofocus system. Thus, focusing is made a lot easier.

Nice!!! I just got one a fairly clean example with the MD-4 motor drive and a 50mm f1.4 Nikkor lens. Mine also has the DE-2 finder. It’s an impressive camera.

I got an F100 pretty cheap not too long ago. Too many bodies with film right now so I haven't used it yet.

The metering switch was flaky, but it looks almost new. I used some contact cleaner and put a bit of ProGold contact preservative on it and it seems to work now. But I am guessing I know what'll kill it eventually.

Excited to put it in the rotation, if for no other reason than it writes exif data, which helps me as I'm mostly concentrating on learning the quirks of some film stocks right now. The exif from my F6 has been a big help.

How are you accessing the EXIF info in your F100? I'd like to do the same with mine.

I have Meta35 -- comes with a dongle and a connector for the remote port on the front of this gen cameras so you can plug them into a USB port. And software.

Works with the F6, F100, F90/N90, and F5.

With the F100 I was able to set up all the CSM settings with the Meta35 software, which is nicer than on the camera where you don't get any reference information. I can't do that with the F6, for some reason.

The software also lets you DL the exif and then attach it to your scans, which is what I have been doing with the F6. That's the main thing I have it for, setting up the customs settings with the F100 was just kinda a cool extra.

IT isn't cheap. Software is kludgy, and the exif editing is limited. And a little obnoxious. And some things it does just bug me (I can't get it to stop adding meta35 to my keywords, which is BS, so I have to manually delete it after). But it sure helped me learn about film stocks knowing which shot was which in a bracket, and precisely how I metered. I'm bad at taking notes while shooting so it really has been nice for that.

As I said above, I went over it, returned the menus to stock then made the changes I wanted (write detailed exif, shorten the self timer delay) and practiced the handling. It handles JUST like the F6 in most important ways. I'll be able to go back and forth with ease and, frankly, most of the features the F6 has, that the f100 doesn't, I don't use. I'm excited to try it when I've killed the rolls I have in the other cameras now.

I can see where the exposure info would be helpful. I checked the Meta35 website and they are closing within a month. There are still some units available, but the Mac version is not compatible with the newer OS X versions.
