I got a cheapo Chinese hood for something like $10. Works just as well as the precious $50 a pop vintage pieces, though it doesn't look as sexy. Oh well. And flocking is just black velvet-type paper that reduces internal reflections, which you can get at telescope hobby sites, or the big A if you don't mind selling your soul to Beelzebezos. The D particularly seems to have problems with internal reflections, which I think account for its so-so reputation vs other contemporary cameras. Many of those had better internal coatings and/or baffles that cut down on all those photons bouncing around inside.
Ah, so that's odd, as the inside of mine looks very well-blacked-out. I'll look for a hood though.

Yours, with its fancy lenses, appears to be newer than mine. The inside of mine was black, but my Rolleiflex MX is visibly blacker and far more matt - and even so F&H ended up adding baffles to their cameras soon after. The flocking really made a difference for me, but in the end if you don't see a problem, there is no problem.

Actually I think there was an early variant of the D with small baffles. Not every Yashikor D, clearly, as yours must not have them, and apparently none of the later ones.

Just received a Pocket Instamatic 40, seemingly in working condition (been dropped, front cover is cracked in one corner and the Kodak logo is loose inside) -- but it was really cheap and I bought it mainly for the Kalimar Strobe A flash unit (which, despite a broken hinge, works fine). This unit fastens in the tripod socket on the bottom of the left end of the camera and latches to the Magicube carrier on the top -- and fires from the purely mechanical trigger that would fire a Magicube.

I got the camera and flash (and, not shown in the listing, a carrying case that fits both, as well as original manuals for both and a cute little flannel drawstring bag that had the flash inside), and a K battery (mercury type, even so the cells are long dead -- but the shell can be repopulated), and USPS shipping was more than the BIN price -- and either the flash or the K battery are worth more than I paid. I'll probably never use the 40; the flash is for my 60, and the K battery shell is a bonus.

I stopped buying cameras several years ago , I have been on lockdown since March last year and have only been out of my house three times since then, once to get a flu jab and twice for the COVID jab, I had the second one ten days ago, so I should now be safe to go out and be happy to use the cameras I have.

Very clean Retina IIa that I had Chris Sherlock service. It had some focusing and light leak issues, works great now. https://retinarescue.com/ highly recommended

Congratulations! I just picked up a IIIc last summer (Rodenstock Heligon). I really like shooting with it. It is very nice to carry around and takes beautiful pictures. I have the 50mm f1.9 Xenon on my Retina Reflex IV, a camera I acquired to support a couple of existing [non-rangefinder cammed] Schneider lenses I had. The Schneider lenses are great.

RB67 Pro S kit. Bought around 2 months ago.
In the meantime I have sent it for a CLA, so now it is "as new"

I don't know if I should call this a camera or a kit for tinkering, but I just got me a Rolleiflex 3.5F Planar. I'd love to hear the history of this camera, as it must have had thousands of rolls through it - even the supply spool tensioning spring has the plating worn through from use. It's nice to see a camera that didn't just sit in someone's closet for decades. The taking lens is in surprisingly good shape, so I should get some more mileage out of it once I've got the creepy-crawlies out of it.

This came in the mail the other day. Excellent condition with an M42 adapter. The lens isn't supposed to be too hot, but I took a couple of pics with it to verify for myself, then switched to other ones.

I just found an OM-2 with two other cameras for $40. I'm not good at math but I'm pretty sure that comes out to $13 for the camera; if that weren't good enough it also had a pristine 1.4 50mm.

It has a little fungus on the penta prism, which barely peeks into the viewfinder field, but it works great.
The other two cameras were a Pentax Spotmatic missing the rewind knob, which caps badly at high speeds and has a 1.8 55 mm with a broken filter stuck on it and an Argus plastic rangefinder from the sixties. I'm an Argus fanboy so I'm not complaining about that one, although it is very very cheaply made.

Mamiya-Six folder with tan leather carrying case... But it's sitting at my mother in law's place in Japan. No air parcel to Canada. I'll pick it up when I can get over there after this ruddy pandemic.

A 1957 Zorki S with an Industar-22 f3.5 lens.
Works perfectly, very clean glass and crisp rangefinder patch.
I am really liking rangefinder cameras. I now have a Leica lllf, 2- Canon lls2's and a Canon Model 7. Now I want a Nikon S2 and maybe a FED something or other.

Hope no one is offended by my choice of backdrop...it's from a January 1951 issue of U.S. Camera

A like new Canon F-1 n, second model, body as part of my effort to have back-up in most shooting bodies.

A good Canon wide angle, and 135mm Fl or FD lens to go with the 50 - 55 mm lenses I have will become key to my bag, which includes Pentax M42 lenses may parallel a Nikon F bag, which I've also sought to build, as a working kit with a second body and a wide angle there also.

I've a Pentax Spotmatic that I really like and so far as the small format M42 camera's, a second first model and lenses will augment both the Canon and Nikon, with by-way-of M42 adapters on both.

As I try to hear up for some cross country road trips, I'll keep an eye out for other kit, but I suspect my time is best served by filling in the gaps in 6x6 Hasselblad and lenses for my 4"x5" speed graphic, though I'd like better sometime in both camera and lens.

Cheers.

Been wanting one of these for awhile, found one at a reasonable price in "just serviced" condition.

... they aren't kidding when they talk about the large, bright viewfinder.
