Gitzo G1340 tripod. Needed a taller one for my 4x5/5x7 camera. Replaces my older, shorter Gitzo G series studio model.

Well there’s a Nikon F6 waiting for me when I get home from the hospital. My gallbladder went bad and had to come out, sure didn’t see that one coming. Guess it’s my get well present. 🙂

Roger

You will not miss the gall bladder, on the other hand you deserve to get some new lenses for the F6 too. Have a speedy and complete recovery.

Thanks, and no won’t miss the gallbladder at all, turns out that it was infected and necrotic, it was basically dead. Oh and thanks for the suggestion to get some new lenses, that‘s an excellent idea. 😃

Hello @LeoniD: Is Astrum continuing to do business in the current circumstances? I bought a bulk roll of Foto 100 and some other films from them some years ago but haven't been in contact of late.

Yup, they do. Took them some time to restore more or less normal operation, but AFAIK they are offering full range of their films again. Probably gonna try some of their new IR film soon

I fell getting off my bike, caught my pants on the dopey seat. So I bought a lovely 68 year old Leica IIIf . DHL lady brought it to me from Japan. Very reasonable. I picked up a fresh box of Ilford Classic FB 5x7. I always feel better after spending a hour or two in my darkroom. 🙂

Could no longer ignore the gap between 50mm and 100mm, so I purchased a used but minty 90mm for my RB67. I also purchased a backup 720 IR filter, as I almost lost mine. I dropped it when removing from lens. It rolled off my leg and down a barren, badland hill. I had to trudge down (in 36C badland heat), retrieve it, then trudge back up. No damage to it... or me.

Correction -- the film I ordered from B&H was Copex Rapid (120), not Ilford Ortho.

A Rolleifix on eBay to attach the 3.5MX-EVS to a Leica KGOON tripod head. The rest of the Rollei kit survived the house move but after a month of searching I gave up on finding the Rolleifix. (Of course, buying it almost certainly means I will soon find the old one.)

Bought a black Pentax KX from an eBay seller. I have a silver KX so certainly didn't need the camera, but I prefer black cameras and wasn't able to find one in nice condition when I was first looking. This one also has the split-prism focusing screen which I like and isn't too common, so I used that to justify the purchase to myself 🙂

I just ordered 30 rolls of Ilford XP2 Super.

10 - 135 36exp
10 - 135 24exp
10 - 120

I just don't feel like processing my own this summer.

A spent 126 cartridge that I carefully cracked open to use as a reloadable cartridge.

The madness never ends... waiting for my 90mm lens to arrive for the RB. Ordered a backup 720 IR filter, bunch of little amber glass bottles for alt printing chems. Chemicals from Jacque at Argentix...

Well, let’s see, been ordering accessories for the F6. I just received a MB-40 battery grip, seems nice, certainly make the camera look more impressive. I did like the vertical grip feature, although when using the vertical grip i couldn’t reach the depth of preview button. I also got a Nikon MC-30A remote trigger release. I have a Three Legged Thing l-bracket ordered for when I’m using a tripod. The F6/MB-40 combo way to heavy to just flop over on the tripod.

Just came in yesterday's mail -- bought a Mamiya Sekor SF C 150 mm f/4 -- this is the soft focus lens, in this case with the set of diffusion disks (allowing maximum softness, lens wide open, but in light that would make shutter speeds too fast at f/4 -- the disks give effectively f/5, f/5.6, and f/6.3 with the lens set to f/4). This came from Photrio user @luvcameras -- and it's clean, looks new, shutter seems accurate on all speeds, includes a protective case for the disks, all exactly as described. Looking forward to trying this out.

The 90mm lens FINALLY arrived for my RB67. I was tired of that large focal length gap between 50 and 100.
Anyway, it was sitting at DHL for a week, waiting for me to pay the duty. The seller in Japan let me know (he's a guy I've been dealing with for years...great guy!). So I paid, it and three days later it arrives. Note to self: Pay attention to emails, O'Neill! 🙄
Anyways, the lens looks great. Nice and clean. Now I'll have to take it out and shoot a roll with it!
This ends the madness... No more lenses for this camera! 😀

LTM Jupiter 12 to round out the 35/50/50/50/50/90 set. I've yet to figure out why there are no 'cheap' 35mm LTM lenses. Even the Jupiter 12s are well over $100 now.

I did not buy anything since ages related to the photography.

Instead on every evening, firing the shutter at 1s speed with lens stopped at maximum aperture to keep them going...
