I have had two which arrived the same day. One was a Nikkormat FT3 body on black with very little wear considering it's age. The other was a spare 120 back for my Bronica SQa.

The Nikkormat is working perfectly and the meter is as close as you would need, A 36 exp B&W came out with 36 negs I will be able to print very easily. The spare back is waiting for some 120 Kodak Gold to load the back With any luck it should be in the post in the morning.

I used a range finder with my Voigtländer Vito IIb when I first started using it with ISO 64 film but ended up estimating the distance and using a smaller aperture to get the greater depth of field as a safety margin. Using ISO 400 film eliminated the need for a range finder.

I don't feel the need for a rangefinder either - I am happy using scale focusing (it's how I learned photography), and I agree, pick the right film ASA to allow shooting at f/8 and f/11 all day.

I just wanted the Kontur external finder as the built in one on my Vito II is so tiny (and a bit inaccurate).

I ordered 10 rolls of ILFORD XP2 in 120 from Freestyle. I haven’t shot this film in 30 years but recall it was good for lab prints but flat on #2 paper in the darkroom. I wanted to see if this is a good alternative for lab processing and scanning now I no longer shoot film regularly I don’t want to have chemicals around with a use by date. I also want to compare XP2 with desaturated color print film.

@Rayt If you want a little more contrast for optical printing, you could ask for Push +1 processing at the lab...

Optical Printing? Is that traditional wet room printing? Maybe one day I’ll have a darkroom but realistically it’ll be inkjet. I am learning how to use Lr and PS now.

Hopefully one day. I have quite a few b/w negs that look great on the computer but never optically printed. It’s the not knowing and that itch to know that bothers me.

Harvey Milk Photo Center has a nice public darkroom that is reasonable priced. This is where I print, as I’m a renter, so putting in a darkroom isn’t really an option for me. https://www.harveymilkphotocenter.org/

I learned how to print and was a regular there 30 years ago until I moved. I think it’s still closed due to the pandemic at least when I checked a few months ago.

Local public library has an ongoing huge sale (lots of withdrawals and donations I guess).

"Exploring Black and White Photography" A Gassan and A. J. Meek
"The Camera" A. Adams.
"The Art of Color Photography" J. Hedgecoe

five dolla'

They all look interesting, in different ways.
"E,xploring.." which feels like a textbook, has a model release form template, and a grey card!
I have, I think, two other Hedgecoe books, and it feels there is a significant amount of overlap.

Konica Autoreflex T with 57mm f1.2 Hexanon and ERC from a proper auction (i.e. stick your hand in the air!)
Too good not to buy, with the f1.2 lens and black body in excellent condition. Konica's attention to detail even includes making the strap 'D' rings in black - do any other manufacturers do that for their black bodies?
All works, though the meter in both manual and auto is a couple of stops out due to lack of mercury cells and having to use alkaline. A small mod will sort that out.
Can't wait to get out and about with it!

A few rolls of 120 Svema/Astrum Foto 100. Looks really nice and seems to be coated by them too

Hello @LeoniD: Is Astrum continuing to do business in the current circumstances? I bought a bulk roll of Foto 100 and some other films from them some years ago but haven't been in contact of late.

I just bought a darkroom sink off a retired Kodak photographer. I had to drive 6 hours but he also gave me his other darkroom equipment (and the price was right) so it was very worth it!

just bought a battery capacity tester if that counts.

Casual stroll on the auction site, got outbid on an Ansco version of the Sillette (maybe I got lucky, there?), but found a cheap Ideal range finder!

Well there’s a Nikon F6 waiting for me when I get home from the hospital. My gallbladder went bad and had to come out, sure didn’t see that one coming. Guess it’s my get well present. 🙂

Lots of 120 Rollei, HP5, FP4, Pan F, Delta 400, and Delta 100 for my photo road trip... because I forgot my film at my sister's place... luckily there was a camera store in the next city I was that had all of those films otherwise it would have just been a photo road trip.... 🙄

Got a gift card from my employer, part of their 15 years bonus -- went straight to B&H and ordered: Gitzo Adventury 30L camera pack (should be plenty for my RB67, 3-4 lenses, various film backs, plus filters etc. -- question remains whether I'll be able to carry it with all that inside), extension strap (3 bucks!) and shoulder pad to set up ways to carry my tripod more easily, a pack of 3/8 to 1/4 tripod adapter bushings, and six rolls of Ilford Ortho Plus 120 to fill out the $300 gift card balance (cost about four bucks out of pocket).
