I hit what for me is a jackpot. Stopped at a junk store bought a box for $29 US.
2 Hasselblad A12 backs, an A16, a set of 3 genuine Hasselblad extension tubes, a 210mm Schneider Symmar-S 5.6, original 500cm manuals, a "Gold" Hasselblad dark slide. The magazines need light seals. From 1974, the foam is crumbled. Otherwise in superb condition. Seals are an easy fix.

I love my D1x - one of the first off of the manufacturing line back when it originally came out and still works beautifully. I did replace the batteries but I'm still trying to figure out how to get some of those lithium-ion ones for the D1x from the UK back here to the States.

A new Asus Laptop, I have a PC in my darkroom it's OK but oldish, not sure how old I bought it cheap second hand but it runs my Epson V750 scanner and Epson A3+ printer (cleaned and unused for maybe 6 or 7 years). But although I'm predominantly a film user we use Digital to communicate. I had to shoot digital for commercial reasons so embrace both analogue and Digital, and have done since the mid 1990's.

A better laptop hepefully means betternonline images

Truthfully, it's some practically no-name brand from Amazon. And it is 220 volt -- but I wired in a subpanel on a 50amp line with a dedicated gfi breaker (gfi because I don't trust it). And I don't know if it works, yet, since I haven't finalized the plumbing.

Also, it had these stupid coloured wires - brown and blue and yellow - and I had to take it apart to figure out what they were. The "instruction" book that came with it was of no use at all.

In other words, I'm hoping it works but am not holding my breath.

Got 3 books by Shinzo Maeda a few days ago. "Kamikochi", "Oku Mikawa" and "A Tree, a Blade of Grass" as well as "Resplendent Light" and "Intimations of Paradise" by Christopher Burkett. I stumbled upon Maeda by (lucky) accident and his photographs are
superb. The books by Christopher Burkett are spectacular and breathtaking, there is no other way to put it. They are now standing right next to Bernhard Edmaier's "Earthsong" in the bookshelf, a book i can also highly recommend.

And i ordered an Chamonix C45F-2 because the Sinar turned out to be completely impractical in field work (for my taste)

Wrote this in late October:

Just ordered a 16x20 piece of 10mm thick (bit over 3/8") low iron glass (supposed to transmit more UV than regular glass) for contact printing salt prints, Kallitype's, etc.

Ahhh, living Life on the north coast of BC...glass finally got delivered three days ago from Vancouver to glass shop in Terrace, BC about 50K up the road from where I live.

Delivery initially delayed from multiple road and bridge washouts after record rains in southern BC, then after it got to Terrace there was freezing rain on the north coast, then it snowed like crazy yesterday with trees across the highway. Today looking good with small breaks in the clouds and compact snow/ice on the highway.

If I don't report back in about 4 hours, send a search party. Kidding...sort of...

Still waiting for last bits for water panel to get here.

Spme enamel dishes, 3 contact frames and some new to me Ilford Multigrade with a set of 3 filers The folters are held under the enlarger lens and mark Hard, Medium, & Soft, the box is marked with the price 8/7. pre decimal that was 8 shillings and 7 pence. There's alss ome Ilford Contact paper as well as Kodak Bromide and Velox.

Well, that was an interesting drive. I'd give the road poor marks for a ski hill access road and a miserable failing grade for a highway. Only two vehicles in the ditch, but traffic was light.

Glass is very nice! It's 16x20, 3/8" (10mm) thick, weighs about 11lbs (5Kg) and because it's low iron it has a very faint green cast along the edge compared to the emerald green colour of regular glass. Not sure how that will effect UV contact printing times (if at all) but hopefully it was worth the wait.

Estimated delivery time for last parts for my water panel used to be Dec 10th, but now they're saying Dec 23rd.

Pretty inconvenient place to live for shopping, but old growth forest is less than a 5 minute drive from our house, our boat sits waiting in the marina 10 minutes away, and there are no fences so you can wander the landscape at will.

@eli griggs and @Donald Qualls -- the water heater works. It heats the water to 37 degrees C within seconds and maintains it. It's actually pretty impressive (but will probably stop working now that I've complimented it).
