Although I have a Sears Tower (Busch Pressman D) and a Super Graphic, which I use for field cameras and limited movement, my local used dealer had this one on his eBay site. I've been eyeballing it for a couple of weeks, and pulled the "Buy It Now" trigger today. This is a Meridian Model B. It's a late 1940's camera, and built of aluminum, with a lot of movement built into a press camera. It does use 4x4 lens boards (Graphic View), although the light baffle on the board doesn't allow it to sit flush. I ordered some 11 ga 4x4 plates, and I'll make my own. This one is built like a tank.

I just bought a 100 foot roll of .EDU Ultra 400 (aka Fomapan) from B&H. Adorama had a better price, but they were out of stock; B&H had it lower than Freestyle and free shipping. Not much more than half the price of Ilford, below half of Kodak's 400 speed offerings.

Also bought yellow, orange, and red filters in 77mm size for my RB67 from the same Hong Kong seller where I got the set for my Kiev/Jupiter-8.

A set of long shaft Wiha precision slotted and Phillips screwdrivers, 2.5, 3, 4mm slotted, with 150mm shaft and 300mm overall length, together with Phillips #0 and #1, same lengths as above.

I also had received the Vessel set of JSI and slotted precision screwdrivers I mentioned before, with 0, 00, 000, 0000 JIS heads and 0.9 and 0.7 mm slotted drivers.

All of these are nice additions, filling in my small tool, equipment gaps and the extra lengths are coming in handy already.

I will also wait until I can and get a set of Wiha precision electrically insulated drivers, as I'm repairing some flash heads, and having once touched the wrong thing in a Kodak disposable camera, with it's own flash, I do no ever want to receive a shock from a Vivitar 285, 285HV or 283, period.

No argument there -- 450+V with up to several hundred amps behind it is potentially lethal.

Just scored a 190mm Kodak Wide-Field Ektar and an Ilex 5 shutter, both with their flanges. The Wide-Field Ektar should JUST cover 8x10, might get a little mushy in the corners. And the best part is that for the price I paid, I either got the Ilex 5 or the Wide-Field Ektar for free.

I'm surprised they came this 'quickly' as I was no expecting them until late August - mid-September.

Yes, in fact, I might just get the Harbor Freight Precision Isolated set instead of the more expensive Wiha, just so I'm using the right screwdriver to finish up this open flash I'm working on now.

$8 vs. $45, I guess I can see if the lesser of the two brands will fill my needs.

Just yesterday I got a Wista 45 SP in very good condition. Now waiting for the lens to arrive. To try it, I have an old Schneider Kreuznach Xenar 4.5/180mm which I mounted on a DIY lensboard that I cut from a sheet of cardboard. Good enough for playing around with the camera.

Oh, I will. I'll have to get the Wide-Field Ektar mounted to a lens board (pre-drilled boards for an Ilex 4 are not exactly commonplace), but I plan to use it as soon as I can get that done. The Ilex 5 is going to get re-purposed to put a Zeiss 600mm Apo-Germinar into a shutter so I can use it with my 14x17.
