McKeown's Price Guide to Antique and Classic Cameras, 7th edition, 1990-1991. Clearly not interested in the prices with a book nearly 30 years old but it does contain useful information for a camera collector (bearing in mind it has factual mistakes in it).

I just bought a light box and some negative carriers, preparatory to scanning old family prints and negatives. Next up? A copy stand.

Love my Gra lab 900 - best Gra lab there is. If you didn't get the foot switch, snag one as its worth it.

Mike
Pretty sure i have one, plus i purchased 4 generic equivalents so i could make several dedicated foot switches. I ordered the 900 because any of the other 400+series i seem to have gotten burned on. Functionality is inconsistent.

Hasselblad Carl Zeiss 100mm Planar T* 3.5/100 CFi in mint, NOS condition from a seller in Austria. I haven't received it yet, but can't wait as I've been wanting this lens ever since I first bought a Hassy. It was quite pricey, but CFi versions in this kind of condition don't come around very often so I decided to splash out a bit.

I fully expect it will replace the 80mm Planar as my standard Hassy lens.... it just remains to be seen whether I will keep the latter.

Nice, is that 5x7? If I had a shutter on any of my lenses I'd be tempted. I would be interested to know what you think of it.
Hoping this is a sign that 120 will be available again pretty soon. It's been a long wait!

It's 4x5. I'd love to shoot 5x7. I'll have to save up for a reducing back for my 8x10... and holders. I'll definitely post something later. Cold's getting better!

While the 100mm is my favorite, they both have their uses. For example the 100mm will have too narrow a field of view or the 100mm can be too sharp for some subjects or portraits. Keep the 80mm lens.

I likely will, if for nothing else than having the choice of focal length. The extra half stop of max aperture available with the 80mm isn't much of a factor for me, as I hardly ever shoot it wide open (a bit soft and mushy at that stop, and with particularly bad coma). Stopped down it is still a good lens though, and the compactness & light weight can be useful.

Local dealer had this Nikon F2 Photomic body, excellent condition, with DP-1 viewfinder. However, a DP-12 is on its way from a Japanese dealer. They also had a very nice Minolta Spotmeter F that looks nearly mint, not a scratch.

So did you buy it or are you waiting for the DP-12? If not, let me know who the dealer is, I'm in the market for a DP-12.

I bought a Rollei carbon fibre lightweight travel tripod and monopod because there are many situations when I could use a tripod and don't have one with me because I didn't want to lug my Manfrotto 055 professional one because it's too heavy. and I had left it at home.

Waiting on delivery now. It just cleared customs in Chicago. Should be here around Feb 5th.

I've been looking for one for around six months. The prices are pretty much outrageous. I know part of it is scarcity, since the DP-12 volume wasn't that high for that long. I've seen them go for as much as $500. I got this one for around $300; I had to bite my lip. The prices of F2-AS camera bodies are just as outrageous. The DP-12's I've seen for less than $300 either have operations issues, or condition problems. I've done business with this dealer before, and his reputation is stellar, as are all I've dealt with.

About six months ago, I was at a local camera show, and F2AS's were going for between $425 and $600. Not worth it.

Especially since the non-AI F2s go for $200-300. It's a less sophisticated meter maybe but the camera itself is the same.
