Just ordered a 16x20 piece of 10mm thick (bit over 3/8") low iron glass (supposed to transmit more UV than regular glass) for contact printing salt prints, Kallitype's, etc.

An immersion heating circulator, or, as they call it, sous-vide machine. Has totally changed my perspective on shooting color, which I can now do more often without worrying about the cost of sending it to a lab and the time it takes for them to get the picks back to me. Shot five rolls of Ektachrome 120 last week and developed them over the weekend.

Now I need to save for a good scanner...

Bought some inkjet transparencies after contemplating it for about 3 years. Or was I simply lazy? Anyway, I might try my hand at cyanotypes or perhaps salt prints. Provided that I won't contemplate it for a decade or so...

Nikon f5, basically brand new and late serial number.

50 1.8g afs

Going to fully embrace what the camera has too offer this go around. Going to help get more keepers chasing my kid around.

The strap (permanently attached to the everready case) for my recently acquired "White Russian" Moskva 5 broke, so I spent $11 (free 2-day shipping) on special at Amazon for this messenger bag. Big enough to hold the Moskva 5 and my Mamiya 6, probably at least one more folder if I can figure out a good way to keep the cameras from knocking together -- plus a couple bricks of film, flash and grip, etc. Made for a 15" screen laptop, so really oversize for medium format cameras, but very hard to argue with the price...

Just ordered my first pack of Hahnemühle Platinum Rag paper.

Person on the phone pronounced it, "haw-nah--moo-lay"...is that how it's pronounced?

You will love this paper.

I hear it's good, but what caught my attention is that it can be coated on both sides...a very fine attribute indeed with someone who's never made a hand coated print before

Yes, that is a very nice attribute. If I bugger up a print or want to test something, I can easily print it on the other side... :D

Just got a nice clean AF Nikkor 35-70mm f2.8D lens off eBay for a good price. Took a bit of a gamble since the seller said it had “little haze”. It must be very little haze because I sure can’t see it. This is going on a Nikon N70 that was either free or very cheap and going in my truck so I always have a camera with me. The funny thing is that I dedicated a old beat up Nikon F401x to my truck about a month ago and I’m already up grading it. I have a plan though, the F401x is going in the Subaru so it always has a camera. My goal is to always have a camera with me.
