My last purchase was a Christmas present to myself -- a CLA of my Yashica Mat 124G done by Mark Hama. I noticed in a November outing that the shutter release button took a second or two to pop back out after an exposure. As it worked out, Mark was able to get the meter (and lid-driven on/off switch working) so it's now like a new one. It was in excellent cosmetic condition, in good shape optics-wise, and I had already used it for several years, and I like it for some of my travels, so I figured it was worth the investment. The CLA plus postage about equaled what I paid for the camera, but it should have an excellent chance of lasting me the rest of my life unless I drop it over a cliff or something. I had it outdoors at about 15ºF on Friday, the button came back instantaneously, and the meter readings seemed reasonable against Sunny-16. So I'm a happy camper.

A couple of dog collars to act as sling attachments for a shoulder strap. I have my eye on this strap. http://www.mypostaluniforms.com/pro...TdWUETZvYv2QUMAE2-kod5Z_fJwVbZZcaAqfTEALw_wcB

I bought a professional photographers entire collection of film and darkroom equipment. Probably 30+ years worth of gear. He just wanted the space and didn't care about the money, so I got it all for next to nothing. Included were two enlargers, an additional head, two medium format SLR's with a bunch of lenses and accessories, two strobe sets, about 20 35mm lenses, 5 35mm cameras, 75 filters, 10 enlarging lenses, cables, paper, chemicals, trays, and much more. It's going to take me 3 months just to go through and catalog and clean everything!

Non-camera, a 180/2.8 ED AIS Nikkor for $150 from Kenmore Camera. Strangely enough, better condition than the one I sold to Glazer's Camera last year for $200. Also picked up some DL 1/3N batteries last thursday.

I'll post my body-related acquisitions in the usual thread.

Four boxes of FP-3000B and two of FP-100C, bringing my total supply to 18 and 20 boxes, respectively.

I had a bit of a late Christmas here. A long delayed order finally arrived. Now I have a large Paterson fibre print washer. Also Ektacolor RT/LU RA4 developer and blix. It's going to be the year of colour prints...

While looking for something else on the auction site I found a Nova Clubmate (4 slot, heated) print processor. Won the auction.

I was monitoring the auction site to see what prices Contax II cameras are going for and had one from 1938 on observation. It looked pretty good, unlike those expensive ones for a fixed price. So while mixing fresh ECN2 chemicals my tablet made some noise, it was 14 minutes left on that camera and the price hadn't exploded yet. Despite thinking it would go much higher my bid in the final 5s prevailed. Going by what is out there right now the price would have been ok body only. But it came with a post war (45-49) Sonnar 2/5cm from Zeiss Jena. I will have to look out for a 1.5/5cm pre war lens at some point to fit the time period of the body.

Did I mention that I don't like rangefinders? But the camera is beautiful, at the least the outside seems authentic, and it is an interesting piece of engineering. A first roll of HP5 has run through it. All shutter speeds functioned and to the naked eye the exposure of the negatives seems correct relative to each other.

100g of black salt to try as a replacement for sulphide toner as proposed on APUG.

May I know how does it work? Or will it work for normal prints?

A Sekonic L-488 spot meter. Seems very precise.

And a yellow filter for my Konica Hexar!
