Bronica EC-TL Kodak Gold 200 CineStill CS41 JOBO CPE2+ 3:34 @ 39°C

Fuji Provia 100 in one of my Canon New F1 -AE's, processed at Ag Photolabs in Birmingham U.K.

My 1955 Kiev 2, with Jupiter 3 (50 mm f/1.5) and Jupiter 12 (35 mm f/2.8), Fuji Superia X-tra 400 (expired January of this year). Still in the camera, but will be processed in Flexicolor in my own darkroom. Prime time for fall color in my front yard... 😄

Kodak 2D 5x7 w/180mm f4.5 C Zeiss Jenna Tessar... collodion & silvernitrate on black trophy alluminum,,, standard sugar developer... 4x4" collodion wet plate...................

I shot a roll of Delta 100 in 35mm through my Canon FTb yesterday, and developed it in HC-110. To be fair, the first few frames were actually exposed through my Elan II because they were zone system tests to make sure my EI and development times were correct for normal contrast range (they were very close).

I like shooting more technical cameras and larger formats, but it's nice once in a while to just walk around with a camera around my neck and a 50mm lens and nothing else. There might be a keeper on the roll, too.

Arca Swiss F-line 6x9 with Fomapan 100 (in a Horseman roll holder) developed in Pyrocat-HD 1:1:100 for 18 minutes. Used the 150mm G-Claron, 203mm Ektar, and 65mm Angulon.

Hasselblad SWC loaded with HP5+ and exposed at 3200ASA (I had to, sorry Ilford...) processed in X-tol 1+1 for 30 min at 20°C and coming out a little 'thin'...

I just can't make myself go beyond 1600 with HP5... 🙂 I wonder if you had used stock instead of 1+1, if that would have made any difference...🤔

I don't know about stock as I prefer fresh developer each time. Anyway I would not do this again, and I will test the Delta 3200...
Hopefully this will not to bee too contrasty.

Imagine, it was so dark in that atmospheric Crypt and at full open aperture (SWC = 4.5), 1/15sec and no tripod, I had to give it a try, alas!

There's nothing wrong with trying stuff. 'Tis how we learn.

Ha, the Pentax LX, this was the best 35mm camera I ever owned, a real trustworthy workhorse, easy to handle, the best light metering system and affordable too.
I was so stupid to sell the largest part of the bunch

I’ve shot delta 3200 in a Pentax 67 handheld at somewhere around 3200-6400 late at night on minimally lit scenes—wide open 2.8 or 2.4 and 1/30, and got some very nice results, but the negatives were pretty thin. I used Xtol at the time. I forget the times, but I found them online.

Thanks for the reassurance, Abruzzi.
I looked on Ilford's website and saw they advice DDX developer, ofcourse it's their own product, but it might be a good match.
On the other had, as I like to brew, perhaps I can find a formula that works as well as the DDX?
To be continued...

BTW, the Xtol times I got were here:

John Hicks' Xtol 1:2 time. There are also a couple DDX times as well.

Nikon N75 with Kodak UltraColor film.

Thank's Abruzzi (your name recall's Italy),
I wonder why 1:2? Is it to restrain the rising contrast due to the pushing as Delta 3200 is actually a 1600ASA film?

And, I don't want to nit pick, but is it 1 / 2 or is it 1+2, as both characters ( : & / ) are a division character, I recall that AGFA was rather precisely about it...

You might want to give FX-55 a try. It's a phenidone/ascorbate developer and good for up to a full stop of true speed gain -- and fairly simple to mix. Pictorial Planet on YouTube has some videos on it, from mixing to speed testing (his test gave EI 200 on FP4+). Also gives fine grain and high sharpness.

1+2, or 1:2 is what I am familiar with. I always use 1+2 though. When I used 1:2, it was usually when I wanted an N minus development time... Not for pushing. I have never used dilute Xtol to push develop film. I imagine you are correct in saying that it is to keep tabs on the contrast.

Correctly, 1+2 is the same as 1:3. One part stock solution plus two parts water, so the stock solution is 1/3 of the final.

When you're using Rodinal at 1:50 (or 1+49) or HC-110 at 1+63 it doesn't matter much, but at Xtol, D-76 or D-23 dilutions, it does.

Hi Philippe-Georges, My parents gave me a Pentax ME for the Christmas of 1976. I was 16 and thrilled to have a real camera. From then on I was hooked on the Pentax line of cameras. I've had the LX since July 1984 and shortly added the MX too. I'm glad I kept them during my digital adventures.
