Here are some prints made last week after 1 year break.

Leica IIIc, Summicron Collapsible, Ilford FP4, Agfa Bravira BN5 hard cream glossy paper (1973 year)

I like this paper very much and try to print most of my medium and low contrast negs on this paper. Unfortunately only 20-30 sheets left and haven't found similar paper on eBay yet.

They look really nice-maybe burn in the top left corner on the second one a little bit more?

A little twist on the question - worked on toning several prints. Selenium and thiourea individually and some split tones.

Two rolls from my Minolta Maxxum 700si of the local "Art Walk" in beautiful downtown Elkhart where local artists set up displays in store fronts of an evening. Tri-X developed in a Kodacraft tank in straight D-76 and printed on Foma variable contrast and Ilford warmtone paper developed in Dektol 1:2 or 1:4, depending on what I thought looked better.

Based on the excellent recommendation of another APUG'er, I printed this today @ Image Flow in Mill Valley, CA. The photograph itself is from the Presidio.

As one of my first prints, I was happy...

I *love* the Ilford Art Paper!

what was the last thing you developed or printed.
it can be color or b/w im not too picky you
dont' have to post an image, just what was the material
( film or paper ) and what was the developer and how ( what way ) was it processed.

i just processed 8 rolls of film ( kodak, neopan, ilford )
and i processed them in hand tanks ( 4 to a tank ) 4 mins ansco 130 1:9 ish 5 mins in caffenol 130 ...

haven't made prints since june/early july ...
again:Why would you want to know?

Lots of people seem to enjoy contributing to these sorts of threads, Ralph.

You don't have to read them if you find them not to your taste

not really understanding why you are " confused "
the title and 600+responses to this thread are pretty self explanatory ...

my suggestion is maybe instead of always posting things like this ( or how you don't like off topic threads i start )
you should put all threads i start on ignore ? ( go to thread tools and "ignore thread" is the bottom option )
that way you won't have to read them, be bothered by them and compelled to
post comments like this in them: they will never appear on your list of threads.

that said, this and other threads i have started are lighthearted, not deep
these threads they dont' discuss the differences in ph between 6 stop bath brands
or the proper way to expose film, but something else less tedius and less
argument prone ( to some at least ) ... have a nice day .

I just finished developing a roll of Tri-X that I shot in my Leica IIIf today. 15 minutes in HC-110 Dilution H (1+63) 68*, 10 initial inversions followed by 5 inversions every 30 seconds starting at the 1 minute mark.

Last night: Developed four rolls of 120 400TX (Tri-X) in HC-110, approx Dilution B. First of the rolls from Maui.

Used increased development: 72F for 8 to 9 minutes. Film expired 02/2008, full history unknown, metered at 400. Quite a bit of base fog, but I'll just print through it. Film exposed and developed for contacting platinum/palladium prints.

Pleased with the images/negatives. Three rolls from the wetside of Maui -- bamboo forest, banana and coconut trees, and such -- and one roll of cloudscapes from 10,300 feet elevation (top of Haleakala). I am looking forward to getting to my backlog!

I have been practicing dodging and burning the last few evenings using a cheap box of old Agfa Brovira BS 1 single weight paper developed in Ilford Multigrade 1+14 for 4.5 minutes and a shot of my daughter I really want to hang on the wall. I realised real quick that my notes in pencil are hard to read in the darkroom. The last print looked real good except forgetting to burn in an annoying bright spot on the bottom edge.

Previously I have made this test with a 100w bulb as main light with pinhole f/270 and Delta 3200 with 4min exposure

Marcio Faustino023.jpg

Than I thought about trying with HP5 at 6400 and 1min exposure. But I developed as ISO 3200 instead of 6400.

The first is with a 100w bulb and the following with a 625w output bulb.

Now I am about to buy Fiji acros 100 and try it at ISO 100 since it have a minimal reciprocity failure. And have exposures during less than 1 min.
Unfortunatly there is no shop in town where they sell it so I have to get online and wait until then.

A few selected and re-photographed negatives (digitally, then inverted in PhotoShop) -- just to check out what I got! If printed they will be platinum/palladium prints (2 1/4" sq).

I especially love the one with the bamboo corridor. That's pretty wonderful.
