Contacted the three 5x4s I developed yesterday, onto some Fomalux RC that I'd forgotten I had, and a bit of (I think) Ilford Warmtone RC that someone gave me, all in the dregs of some ID36 that I found under the sink and diluted 1+2.
Dripping dry now.

I printed six 16x20 prints from various negs on Ilford MGIV fiber matte, subsequently toned in Moersch MT-3 and Harman selenium.
I also printed 14 8x8 prints on 11x14 paper, also toned on the same paper, which were then mounted and put in passe partout. Four were framed and ten were sleeved.
Had to deliver some prints before the Holidays.

three 5x4s left over from the other day, Foma200@100, RO9 1+50, 12mins this time.
all shot with the intention of using one or more for salt prints, and these as though I'm homing in on an EI+development regime.

A bunch of 16x20. This one was on top.

Shot with the Legendary 28 summicron. I've used a lot of Best that Leica has to offer, but the Summicron 28 has to be one of the tops.

A contact roll of acros, some old MF negatives. On 8x10. Contacts again.
Nearly spent Dektol - Mistake was that I first developed a 8x10 sheet of Kodak xray film before them. Long development (for RC) ensued!

I can see the lure of an 8x10 now...(sigh)

I'm working on a nice sized print order for a DC non-profit. They're negatives I haven't printed in at least 10 years. Kind of interesting to revisit them, though. I should be done with the printing tomorrow, then they need to be painted, matted and framed.

10 8x10 prints on Kentmere Art Document paper from two rolls of FP4 developed a couple of hours earlier.

3 rolls of old Kodak Academy 200, one roll of TMY, and 2 rolls of Delta 400, all 135. I hope I'll get trough the pile of undeveloped roll films before 2015.

Funny accident. 4 sheets of foma 400 4x5 in a mod54 holder. Shot at 200, developed in rodinal 1:100 stand starting at 70f. Time? 24hrs. Lol. I got swamped at work and totally forgot about it. Expected the worse, but decided to fix anyway. It came out ok! Some less developed regions where the film contacts the plastic spacers of the film holders but a clear image is viewable on the film. How odd.

Contact printed a whole plate glass negative on loan from a friend, circa World War I (or possibly a decade earlier, given the design of the soldier's 'Rising Sun' Army badge.... still researching.) Unknown photographer. Unknown family.

Someone mentioned earlier NOT spending six pages congratulating each other, and I'll try to refrain from waffling on for that long, but this is a gorgeous photo and print. Had to be said (again).

I developed six sheets of expired 4x5 Ektapan from a mystery box in the freezer. I exposed them with my Anniversary Speed Graphic. I wanted to test the modifications I made to the Paterson Orbital tank for sheet film developing.

Went with 1+50 R09, 150ml total solution, for 11.5 minutes.

Pretty pleased with the continuous agitation results, though I think I should have given the film an extra stop of light for its age.

Earlier this week I developed a grab bag of C-41 for a photographer buddy and film developing client, along with my own film. Some Kodak Ektar 100 and Kodak Gold 200 from me, plus his Fuji Superia and some chromogenic B&W Konica VX 400. Most interestingly, I had an roll (exp. 1995) of Seattle Filmworks I'd shot in a crappy "focus free" point and shoot I kept in the car. I only got three images from that roll, but they were perfectly viable!

I processed it all at the same time in a "poor man's JOBO": a 6-roll Unicolor film drum with motor. The cap leaks badly but it works.

making progress with salted paper prints, despite the cold and dim. Third different type of paper, this time Daler/Rowney Langton CP (postcards).
More texture than I would like but getting closer all the time ...

I am printing black & white negatives from September last year when I visited my daughter in Washington State and we took photographs in Olympic National Park.

Hi Stone,

What do you mean by near edges?
You mean the black border being very close to the edges?

I use what I think is the perfect easel: the EZ easel. It's as big as the sheet itself, which fits on the enlarger's base without being intrusive, as opposed to other mastodontus easels.

No I meant the pattern at the edge being like painting streaks not hard edges.
