Well... I just shot a roll of Kodak Tri-x backing paper. I have a new toy, a Pentax 645, and it seems I still have a few ropes to learn.

As it's been so gray and gloomy here lately, damn near all I'm shooting are Portra 400 and XP2 Super. Though if we get a clear evening I might hit downtown with some Pro 800Z. They should have all the Christmas lights up by now.

About four rolls of PanF Plus in 35mm this afternoon (mostly architectural detail and abstracts) while wandering around downtown. This is the first time I have shot this film in this format in a long, long time (PanF Plus is usually fed in liberal doses to my Hasselblads). Although I look forward to seeing the fruits of my labors, I will wait until the rainy season is really in full swing - January/February to start souping...

I have shot some Fuji 35mm 400 pro, finishing off a roll in camera. Fuji neopan 1600 and Agfa APX100 in 35mm I have an slr loaded with one of each and one with some Lucky SHD100. In 120 I have mostly been shooting Fomapan 100 and Rollei RPX100, which I have a roll of each loaded in to TLR's along with a third with some Lucky Pan 100. I am in the process of doing a project (portraits) for my MA and have gone for lower speed films than I would have in the past. So in the process of which I have also been testing some of the lower speed films, I am very pleased with the results I have got so far with the Rollei and Foma along with a roll of Shanghai I have shot and developed in APH09, less so in D76. I can not decide which to go for so I will most likely carry on using a mix of the 3 for the time being.

I shot a roll of Neopan 400 yesterday. Wrapped my camera in a plastic bag and went out shooting in the snow at a local Christmas fair. I didn't meter, just went with the most light I could get: 1/30s at f1.4.
I developed the roll today in Rodinal 1+100, full stand for 140min with only 30sec of initial agitation. Pleasantly surprised by the outcome, I had been warned about pushing Neopan 400.

Those are really fun....I was really hoping for a snow before Christmas here. I've been wanting to do some downtown shots in the snow with the Christmas lights, but darn the luck, it's been too warm and dry.

I have a pretty large stash of film in my freezer -- all different sorts of emulsions of all different expiry dates. Most of the time, I'll reach for an old roll of Plus X 125 -- I still have more of this stuff than any other type.

More recently I've shot some Ektar and some "Memories 200." Anybody heard of the latter? I found it at my local 99 Cent Only store for $1 per 24-exp roll. It's made in Japan and that fact along with a couple other clues makes me believe that it's probably just plain old Fujicolor 200. Nice film, though. The grain is reasonably tight.

And Ektar, well what's one to say about it? Very fine grain, great color reproduction. A remarkable film emulsion.

Some Ektar shots -- Nikon F2, Nikkor 24mm f/2.8 AI-s:

And some Memories 200 shots:

Shooting EktarColour in Rangefinder and Kodak 200 Gold in trial of newly acquired SRT200 that definitely needs work. Got to use my Gossen Luna-Pro as Minolta meter is dead for now.

Shot some PanF Plus (8 or so rolls) as well as several rolls of E100G and E100VS in the Blads last weekend while up in the Rockies. Currently I am working my way through some 35mm PanF Plus in one of my M6s as part of a series of architectural abstracts which I started last fall (Man, I love the look of PanF!!)

Recently:

Kodak EXR-200T (ECN-2)
Fuji Eterna Vivid 500T (ECN-2)
Fuji Reala 500D (ECN-2)
Kodak Portra 160NC (wonderful stuff)

Now I'm testing a roll of Ilford HP-3 that expired in 1962! I'm exposing at 50ASA for starters and we shall see what happens.

Hey... your caboose inspired me. NO... not YOUR caboose... the one in this image!! There's an old caboose very similar to this one just a few miles from my house that I pass every day on the way to/from work. It was converted to a small living quarters. I need to ask permission to photograph it.
