I could see the sun in all its glory, ''a grey sharp circle, just hanging there in the massive expanse of grey. ''is that normal? :errm: to see the suns edge and not burn your eyes?

Coffee flavored ice cream on a stick would be a top seller!

Do not do that!!! It is not safe and you are damaging your eyes even though you cannot feel it.

Bummed out: Just took a meter reading with the F5 (loaded with E100VS): F2.8@1/30th - not enough light to shoot 100 ISO film. Parade is in two hours, rain is steady with a bit of fog. It's beginning to look like d*****l for color and (most likely) pushed Tri-X for the black and white.

We almost hit 50 in S. Central Pennsylvania today and sunny and breezy. Late afternoon I realized the snow had a slushy packing aspect to it so I rolled all the snow in the front yard (almost all) into a spiral of snow balls grouped 1, 1, 2, 3, 5, 8 gradually getting smaller as number increased and I got tired. I doubt I will win the neighborhood snow sculpture contest, but it was fun and good exercise. Writing this I realize that 1, 1.4, 2, 2.8, 4, 5.6, 8, 11, 16, 22 would be fun but really tedious and not sure how to pull off the fractions.

And more wet!

Same atop the mountain, and down in the valley. Next week - if the current forecast is to be believed - is to bring sunshine. In the meantime, the "inclement" weather provides an excuse (?) to set the color aside and shoot some more black and white; my supply of outdated TMax 3200 continues to draw down. Most likely by Sunday I will have exhausted the entire stash ( I was given two bricks of ((allegedly)) PB 2007 last fall); next order from B&H (or Adorama) will include have to include a brick or two of Delta 3200.

A break from the rain for today. Supposed to be rainy and breezy tomorrow again, then dry and partly-mostly sunny with temps getting back up close to 60 by late this coming week.

As John notes, an appearance by Mr Sun today, after four days of rain (read: Break out the Tri-X/TMax3200); "He" appeared for several hours (perhaps six((?))in total). Enough time, for yours truly to run three rolls of E100VS through the F5 and an M6 (Pacific Spirit/Spanish Banks West/Locarno). Rain is supposed to resume tomorrow and Monday (F3HP and a Soverized F2AS are loaded with TMax3200 and Tri-X, respectively; in the off-chance that there is any sunshine anywhere, an M6 is ready to go with E100G.

Rain moved through midday, then showers and sunbreaks in the afternoon. Popped off a few shots of whitecaps and storm clouds at Juanita Beach Park in the F3P, being used in manual wind mode, even though the MD-4 was attached. Also popped off three test shots with it. One with an SB-80DX being used in A mode on the DE-5 prism, and two with a well-used 400/2.8 AIS at Kenmore Camera.

Not all that far from you this Sunday, I too took advantage of the late afternoon sunshine to photograph the architecture in a small nearby town. Similarly, I was using one of my F3/T's which also had an MD-4 and a Nikkor 28-85 AIS.

Finally clearing out. Finished off the roll of Fujicolor Superia 400 that was in the F3P. Both yesterday and Sunday, the camera was being used with a 50/1.8 D. Tomorrow, after the rear brakes get replaced, I'll probably grab the F, and shoot with it, after I've bed in the rear brake pads on the car (ten complete stops from 30 mph).

Same here in West Dorset...almost felt like spring today!

Definitely felt like spring here. Shirtsleeve weather. Sit outside after work to check APUG weather. Snowdrops and crocuses all over the place. Planned some pinhole photography......forgot my light meter. Good thing it's spozed to be
the same tomorrow.
