I understand that northern USA is caught up in some polar vortex. This sounds very cold!

I'm not all that Northern, but Northern enough. It was 3 deg Fahrenheit as I walked to work in Manhattan this morning and I read that it was around -25F up in Chicago yesterday. They said that with wind it felt like -50. Here in NY the wind only felt like a balmy -7 this morning and now we're up in the double digits. When I checked around lunch time we were at 12 deg.

Have just endured 60 consecutive days with maximums in the 80F to 90 F range. Gets tedious.

We live in a pretty cold area of the country here in western Wyoming (we will have bouts of -25 to -30F every winter), but when a polar vortex hits our weather is always pretty nice. Today was +1F; we should hit the low 30s today.

Thermometer is currently sitting at -1C; temperature is expected to stay in the near-freezing range for the next couple of days. Snow is forecast for Friday; hoping for some sunshine on Sunday for the Chinese New Year's Parade in downtown Vancouver (a photographic "do-not-miss", in my books). Nikons are already loaded and an additional 6 rolls of E100G/VS have been transferred from the freezer to the refrigerator.

Albuquerque: 50deg F this AM ... no snowfall for the past week but it's starting again and I'd expect 20deg F tonight.

Here in sunny Guadalajara Mexico it gets to 22 to 26C during the day, falling to 10 to 14C at night. At home (Salmon Arm B.C.) it was -19C last night according to my wife. I drove down here a month ago with Maggie, my dog, and am leaving tomorrow. Hope it warms up in the frozen north before I get there in about a week. Looking at the weather in different cities along the way, the minus temperatures don't start until you get to B.C.

What's the weather doing where you are? Here in West Cornwall, England it's about 70F and raining quite hard.
I don't dare say that Winter is over but my wife brought in some Narcissus blossoms from the yard yesterday and I saw both Narcissus and Daffodils blooming in a yard near our house. Watching the weather radar closely for thunderstorms. My grandmother had a saying: "thunder in February means snow in March" here in N.W. Louisiana. In 80 years and more, I have seen it snow only once in March. A freeze is much more likely killing any Spring Flowers that are blooming. Spring here frequently begins in late February and, of course Summer frequently begins in late May....Trade you some 100 degree F days in Summer for some 30 degree days in Winter.......Regards!

Sunny and 2C at the moment; snow is allegedly on the way tomorrow am. I'll believe it when i see it: It's been in the forecast here almost daily, but none has fallen since last Sunday.

Heat wave! Up to -1 F outside this morning! Slush predicted for this afternoon. Tonight's forecast: Dark!

Yesterday I wrote of blooming Narcissii and Daffodills. Honestly, I was not trying to "brag", rather those were just observations. Today, we have rain, sleet and a few flakes of snow with more predicted for tonight. The ground is still too warm so none of this is sticking. Yep, tis a normal February in this part of Louisiana.........Regards!

It is 0 degrees C now apparently.
A bit warmer earlier this evening, but still a bit chilly while I cooked the dinner on the bar-be-que.

Can you take the heat Matt? Temperatures in parts of Cumbria reached -12 C during the recent cold snap. I was out taking pictures near Kendal in the south Lakes and it was -6 C...that would be positively balmy by Canadian standards though!

Can't even think about going out 'anywhere' this morning.. according to what I can 'find' out its well into the
region of minus 30 Celcius (feels like -36 degrees C)... not exactly weather in which to head out with my Linhof

According to the 'Weather man.. "If you don't HAVE to go out.. don't"

Currently sitting at a chilly 2C, according to the thermometer hanging from a tree on the east corner my patio. Forecast is for -1C for the Chinese New Year parade downtown tomorrow. Think an extra layer of clothing might be an idea.

I want to print in the sun, if I coat the paper now it will probably rain. If I don't the sun will probably stay out and I'll be unhappy at missing an opportunity.
Clear and sunny right this minute, but supposedly rain is coming by noon. Looking at the satellite images, I think I'm going to try tomorrow instead.

Currently 23F. It was in the seventies earlier this week. Then it rained four inches on Wednesday. At least the sun is finally out.

Nel, the sun is out now but for how long I don't know. I was surprised to see rain this morning.

100% overcast and raining, less than an hour after 100% blue sky and sunny. Doesn't look like we'll see the sun again today. Glad I didn't coat my paper!

Depends on which part of Canada you mean.
For us here on the "Left Coast", 0 degrees Celsius is colder than most days.
Here at the very most southwest corner of the main part of Canada, we actually have neighbours with palm trees.
