Sunny and very windy here near the southern tip of South America. Sunset is at 10:10, so long days -- we have been blessed with great weather with only a touch of rain as we were camping for the past week out of a rental car. For the next three weeks we have rented a campervan as we head north (Torres de Paine, etc), so at least we can retreat inside if (when) the weather turns and the wind blows (tis the season of wind down here). A few sheets of 5x7 film exposed so far -- more later!!

15F light wind. Cooking a pizza outdoors on the grill.

About six inches of snow, with a bit more to come. It's the light, fluffy kind, which is rare around here. We usually get the heavy, slushy, icy stuff. Thinking about loading up a camera, or two, and heading down to the riverside...

Still foggy here!

Snowing at 30f, expecting 18+ inches of white by Sunday afternoon then temp drop to -10 to -20f with wind chills to -30 over night into Monday.

They told us we would get 4-8 inches of snow today and tonight. It's still in the upper 30s (F) and all we've gotten is rain. Lots of rain. My son wanted to know if he could go sledding in the mud tomorrow.

Santa Fe has been damned cold!
Speaking of damned cold, I guess the 24F "chill factor" outdoors here right now would qualify for that adjective. Let's see. Acetic acid freezes at "what" temperature? Better check the heat in my darkroom.. Today is Jan.19, 2019......Regards!

Rain, but in the high 50s (F) at 11pm. After being in the southern hemishere for the past month, it is strange to be back in winter! In southern Chile, it did not get dark until this time of night.

Send him up to us, we awoke to 14" and still coming down. It's a slightly wet snow with a coating of ice underneath. We have a nice sledding hill just across the street and a few kids in the neighborhood who use it.

That's cool! Our hills aren't quite big enough to be really fun.

And we got about a half an inch this morning. But it's only in the teens (F) and windy.

Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow!

Snow and really cold temperatures here. Didn't do any thermometer checking today (except on for the wood stove), but yesterday the car said it was -2 (F) when I got in it, down the hill it was -3, the highest I noticed was +1, and it was back to -2 when I got home 4 hours later.

The biggest drawback to living in town when there's a weather event like this, listening to snow removal equipment and trucks all night. No sleep, up at 03:30 temp is -3 checked again at 08:00, -12 and sun is just peeking over the mountain. Today's high got to 14 above zero. The cold water line in my darkroom is frozen.
