Yesterday was a bad day, with temperatures of about 7C and about half a degree higher in my end of garden darkroom.

I did a session for a couple of hours, with no success = I just couldn't get any negs to print well, but heah, bad negs don't usually produce good prints but I like a challenge. The chemicals were a toasty 21C in my Nova slot processor though.

I must sort out some form of heating in it, but it's a big space to warm. I did sort out the heat in summer with some good insulation but it doesn't do much good in the winter.

Today is a bit warmer but breezy and cloudy and a little damp at 9C outside. Shouldn't complain, as it could be a lot worse, like in Scotland and the north recently. Brrrrrrrr.

Fingers crossed for at least a dry day tomorrow as my gardening charity are 'wassailing' in the local orchard. Always a fun couple of hours, with lots of singing and chatting going on, along with some warm mulled apple juice to drink.

Why is it that after surgery you are freezing your ass off at 72 F?

Rain, rain, rain on Hawaii. Hard rain, intermittent rain, and now partly cloudy with bright sun on Kauai.

Sleet showers today!

We've been doing Yo-yo weather lately - 40s then 20s then 40s, etc.. What's annoying is that we've already used 3 snow days in our school system and two were because 3-5 inch snowfalls were too much to get cleared in time for the buses (both times it started snowing the night before and was a slow snowfall). Even more pathetic, several snow plows got stuck while clearing roads this Tuesday - we only got about 4 inches of snow. February is usually snowier than January, too. Guess they're putting the South in Southwestern PA this winter.

Rain...more rain...and more rain after that. An expected reprieve by the middle of next week, if the forecast is to be believed. As always, HP5+ at the ready; but what I wouldn't give for some Ektachrome P800/1600...

3 degrees celsius - cloudy and windy with rather short sunny sections - when I put on my shoes and grab my camera bag it starts raining immediately ... :errm:
Fortunately I have a good read.

Just had the coldest February maximum in decades: 71.6 F. Usually it's 90 F and above.

Have to put a heater in my freezer to keep it at 0°F. It's cold here in Minnesota.

Grey and drizzly again today...but felt very springlike here in Cumbria yesterdayy

Went out yesterday with my Nikon S3, just back from a CLA. I really wanted to put it through it’s paces.

29F in NYC with a wind chill around 18F.
And I was shooting near the water.
I nearly froze my... er... fingers off.

-30C in Calgary. That's -22F for you metrically challenged Americans.

Can I buy a Quarter Pounder with cheese in Calgary or is it a Royale with Cheese?

Nah we are bilingual, it's still a 1/4 pounder. American companies just consider Canada an undeclared State of the US and only follow our culture/laws/customs if legally mandated. And we are so obliging we put up with it. Heck we don't want to offend anyone.

Overcast, with infrequent hints of sunshine. Temperature is presently around 7C. Snowed last night/early this morning; melting ever so slowly as I look out my office window.

After two weeks of just crazy-warm beautiful weather we had a touch of rain. Then several sunny days with frosty mornings. A mild but cold storm coming in this weekend with possibility of low elevation snow. I wondered where winter had gone to! Glad I am not going anywhere this weekend (except perhaps into the redwoods with the 8x10 and/or 11x14)!
But rain is what we need!

We're not expecting the rain down this way, but we are expecting some cold nights early next week. I've got two large pepper plants that have so far managed to overwinter, so they will get special attention... maybe even a heat lamp under the sheet I'll cover them with.
