Hey! I grew up in Norwalk. On Elaine Street just north of Alondra Blvd. Went to Excelsior High School. Now I live where it rains 10+ months out of every 12. Cold, wet, grey skies...

So guess what? Today it's cold, wet, and grey. And windy, just to add some variety. But at least the leftover snow finally melted.

:sad::sad:

Ken
I know where that is, went to John Glenn myself. Today its 70 deg F. and cloudy and hoping for more rain to offset this drought we are having for the past 3 years or so.

We're being told there's a lot of wet heading for us. It's usually wet this time of year, but we could have 2 months worth of rain this week. Raining pretty solidly right now. Glad I don't live on a flood plain.

Send your rain to California. "It never rains in California ..."

Across the Straight and slightly south of sly here.

The day started out with heavy rain. That cleared up, and the skies were blue and the temperature was 15C.

My wife and I went for a walk this evening and it was really comfortable. Even the neighbours' palm trees looked happy.

Here in Sweden we have no weather at all at the moment
Everything is just grey, no reason to use color film at all. Hard to shoot anything below ISO 400 in so called "daylight".

We've had 2 hours of sun in the last two months..

And yes I am as bitter as I sound

Tonight was an outdoor Holiday dinner at LACMA [Los Angeles County Museum of Art]. It was 67 degrees F and some people were even wearing sweaters. Can you imagine that mid December.

29 F here.

I remember visiting a friend in San Diego during my undergrad. It snowed the day I left from the Toledo (Ohio) airport. In San Diego, people were wearing medium-weight jackets and looking at me as if I were on drugs; I was sweating in a short-sleeved t-shirt while standing in the shadow of a building trying to cool off.

52 right now, 64 today.

Truzi: I had the opposite experience this summer while in the interior of Alaska, I was wearing heated gear and basically all the clothes I could fit into the motorcycle's luggage, and the locals were riding quads around the town in t-shirts and shorts. Those campfires felt so good after a long day of riding through the snow/rain/sleet.

My youngest son when he was at college for a year in the U.S. spent Christmas of that year in San Diego with a girlfriend who was at U.C. La Jolla, and coming from the North Of England he was amazed at how warm and sunny it was at Christmas there.
