Trader history for eli griggs (12)

Sure I would like a pristine M series Leica for $10US and while we are at it I would like to be 50 years younger and 20 pounds lighter will all the physical ramifications. If there is still space, I could go for a new body replacement too. What else do you have available?

I have a much higher chance of someone gifting me one for free that they found in Pop's attic than I do getting one for $10.

This thread makes me laugh every time it comes up because I know as long as I’m around, the chances of Eli Griggs getting a Leica for ten bucks is never zero.

But awfully close to zero. On the order of a New York minute.

Spring 2022 bump.

Don't let your hopes get dashed.

I was given a Nikon F in black (and brass due to age) non metered with a matching motordrive that takes AA. And a 105 2.5, now this might not be a $10 Leica but it seems that it's somewhat of a unicorn. I guess AA powered working Nikon F motor drives are somewhat rare? But I got me one...for free! I got some silly expensive offers for it from collectors. Who knows. It gets used by me.

I am still waiting to become independently wealthy to go along with my incredibly good looks, charm and winning personality.

I was gifted a practically unused late model Rolleicord. Price wise, in the same range as the old screw- lens Leicas.
Someone might want to gift an old Leica just to keep this thread from regularly re-surfacing.

It resurfaces as the seasons change. A pleasant way to keep track of time.

Good observation. Maybe Bezos Clock can tap into this thread. So, not only will it be able to reset it's time based on the sun, it will be able to keep itself in synch with the seasons.

Thank you for the bump.

Hope is still alive and Spring is here, just waiting for all of us to join her out of doors!

I just paid $12 to get a roll of 110 film developed.
Taken with a Leica??

If not, you will be up for a good verbal bashing and your post will have to be deleted...

Before you vanish forever from this thread, please can you tell us where on earth you found a roll of 110.

Sheets, I'll do you one better. I would settle any day for being 60 again. Okay, even 70. As they say, hope springs, like, eternal. I wish!!

But we've gone way, way off el cheapo Leicas, haven't we?? I could rave about the AUD$225 iiif I bought last year from a deceased estate, with some really interesting Leitz bits included, but I won't. Other than to say the CLA/repair bill for the thing was way, way higher than the sale price. But it's a true beaut.

(I reckon the OP didn't take CLA or repairs into consideration when first posting his "for a tenner" thread...)

Really? Rich single women seem to be harder to find than poor ones.

I noticed that too and they have the luxury to be very picky.
