Trader history for eli griggs (12)

Look, I’m going to up Eli’s bid.... how about $11?

I'm going to be the winner of this thread. Once I buy my Leica I can declare it to be any value on my insurance. If I use $9.00 I'll win.

No way! He doesn't even deserve a Leica.
Every man (generic term, no specific gender intentionally implied or specified) deserves a Leica… it is a basic human right, after all.

Not every man, especially the OP who deemed a Leica is only worth $10. That's less than a disposable or a Lomo. You don't deserve something you don't have great respect for.

A Leica can cost $10 if you buy it, use it, then sell it for $10 less than you paid. Consider it renting.

This will drive me nuts. I swear my sister gave me a wooden Leica. Handcrafted from different colored hardwood. Now I don’t remember where it is or if I have a picture of it but it’s going to drive me crazy until it turns up.

In such a case a Leica can cost you a negative amount. You could possibly buy one, use it a while and resell it for more than what you paid for. Yes that is true but a Leica isn't worth $10.
My brother bought a Leica IIIa at GoodWill for $25 ($25 and not $10). He took a few rolls with it and sold it to a camera store salesperson for $800.

In this thread OP is hoping to give a good home to a Leica that isn’t being used. It’s not that weird of a request - wouldn’t we all want that?

I wonder what lens was on it to make it worth that much?

He's asking here. It's like asking a bunch of wolves if they can spare some raw meat.

I don't know but the guy that bought it knew a lot about it. Much more than my brother.

Exactly. Probably the most unlikely venue to produce the desired result. Here - lets try this: I'd like to offer anyone $20 for a Pinkham & Smith Visual Quality No. 4 lens for personal use. Just watch the offers roll in.

I figure $40 sounds about right for a Ducati Sogno with 35/3.5 Vitor lens, or a 50/1.9 Alpa Switar.

Just in time for color film through a Summar lens.

I just had a roll of Fuji C200 developed. Lovely film. Develop only cost me $8.12 and that was with my membership discount.

God, this thread raises from the dead more than Dracula...
