Yes, correct...!It's moiré. I think we are looking of phone photos of the computer screen upon which the scanned images are being viewed. We are not looking at photos of a 4x6 print. Also explains the odd contrast and colour balance.
Maybe it needs a CLA?
Perhaps it’s time for a new lab, gents. Mine processes, scans, and has portal for digital downloads… the same day as the film is processed. They only send CD if you pay extra for it.

I live in Wadena, Oklahoma.
Have a Moyers address since Wadena has a population of under 100.
That’s our cabin a few hundred yards from those photos…!
Solar panels...!
We live in the wilderness and if the grid fails we have backup...!
The solar panels feed the batteries which stores electricity and automatically gives us power if the grid fails...!
Moderator's hat on:
Okay folks, cut it out or take it private!
Hat off.
Ohhh, so you use batteries in times of emergency! The irony of demanding a mechanical camera with wonky exposures when you see batteries as your savior in your home life...
I was just about to flick my last umbrage your way…!Ohhh, so you use batteries in times of emergency! The irony of demanding a mechanical camera with wonky exposures when you see batteries as your savior in your home life...

The blues are dreadful.
Might be worth looking at the negs for truth. Prints and scans are often corrected… not a good measure of truth.
I know nothing about Oklahoma except where it is in the map. The scenery is very nice. Not what I expected (but I really didn’t know what to expect so that says very little).
But it was just too easy!
Anyway, great idea to have solar panels w battery back up. Everyone should have that get up. Definitely will do that on my next house.
As for your images - if you want to mail me one film strip I would be happy to scan them w my digicam as I do all my film, so we can see what is actually going on.
With exposure it is tough as that depends on how you adjusted your camera settings, but the reality is in daylight Sunny F16 is the way to go. Bright sunshine = f16 @ 1/film ISO, so for your Ektar that would be f16 @ 1/125. If anything with color neg film (C41) err on too much exposure, so you can go f11 @ 1/125 etc.

You really need better scans. Those are terrible. It looks like they were taken with a 1 mp HP digital camera. from 2002. Your film has to be better than that.
