According to their existing developing chart, there used to be an Ultrafine B&W in 125 and 400, as well as an Ultrafine Plus in 100 and 400 speeds. I've never tried either, but maybe some longtime Photo Warehouse supporters might have experience with those (old) stocks.

I've used both Ultrafine 125 and 400, not quite sure when they were replaced by UF +e, at the time in the 80s and 90s I think PW was buying rolls from Ilford and cutting to size including 4X5 and packaging, then came UF + and current is UF extreme, PH no longer lists T grain 400 which was quite nice.

Looks like Ultrafine added some dev times for the Finesse 400 on their site:

Ultrafine 76 Powder Developer Stock 7.5 Min
Ultrafine 76 Powder Developer 1:1 12.5 Min
Ultrafine Endurance Developer 1:9 7 Min
Ilford ID-11 Developer Stock 7.5 Min
Kodak Xtol Developer Straight 7.5 Min
Kodak T-Max Dev 1:4 8.5 Min
Kodak HC110 Developer Dil B 7 Min
Agfa Rodinal Developer 1:25 6 Min

And they now have a Finesse 100 iso film too (here: https://www.ultrafineonline.com/ulfi10035x10.html) for the same price of $49.95, no dev times for it yet.

Looks like they kept the same color scheme for their own films, 100 iso film is labeled in blue & the 400 iso film is labeled in green, same as the Extreme films

Hmmm... the plot thickens! It looks like they fixed the typo in the original logo as well. Now that they've posted some starting times, I think I might buy a bulk roll of the 400. The cynic in my thinks that Ultrafine eXtreme may be discontinued and replaced by Finesse which is a different type of film, but who knows...???

Thats what I'm thinking too. Thats probably why they've been out of stock of the bulk Xtreme 400 for a long while, theyre just letting the Xtreme line (100 & 400) run out while they stock up more of the Finesse films.

...but the ISO 100 film is out of stock? :wondering:

It seems like it didnt take them that long to get some of the Finesse 400 in stock once they put the info page up for it, so my guess is that since they must have just put up the info page for the Finesse 100 up in the last couple days, they may be getting some in stock sometime in the next few weeks.

Good chance its rebadged Fomapan. Was looking at the dev charts between the two films (Finesse & Fomapan400) and the times are the same/pretty close

I know (because I check it frequently) that the Massive Dev Chart time for Foma 400 in Xtol stock is 7:00. They might well suggest thirty seconds longer, though, in order to get a little more contrast.

County of origin might be on the label on the can, has anyone pulled the trigger and bought a can? In terms of China, Shanghai has a new 400 speed film out.

Their price is similar to that of Arista EDU Ultra 400, so I lean towards rebadged Fomapan.

It is interesting that they are selling this film but give absolutely no description of the product. Good marketers can make any film sound better than what it replaced. It is also interesting that they are not yet selling individual rolls. Likely they want to sell their current supply, but also, if made by Foma, the indivdual rolls would be a give-away of its identity. Foma-made films come in non-DX coded cannisters with glued-on labels. There are no ID marking in the rebate of the film.

At $70 a roll expensive compared to Ultrafine 400 or house branded Foma 400. I've never shot Orwa, not sure if its worth the price.

I've shot through one bulk roll of ORWO N74+, and it's an interesting film. I bought it back when it was $60/bulk roll. Like Eastman Double-X, it's a cinema film (with the characteristic rounded perforations), but I think their similarities end there. I found it to have slightly more grain than other 400 speed B&W films. I have an album of image samples on my Flickr.

Lomography re-badges ORWO N74+ film as Berlin Kino, and ORWO UN54 is probably Potsdam Kino. Lomo's developing guide for Lomography Berlin Kino 400, "Formula 2019" clearly shows FILMOTEC ORWO N74 in the edge markings.
