APUG Call for Participants
The news you’ve all been waiting for. APUG will be starting a traveling portfolio project. The portfolio will be a great way to showcase your own work while being able to see some of the most creative work being produced today by photographers utilizing traditional film based materials. Click this link for the Traveling Portfolio Page: (there was a url link here which no longer exists)
Thanks! Brian & David;Co- Administrators, APUG Traveling Portfolio.

Hi,

I'll be setting up an info page for this soon. I'll also have a password protected page of participants and their addresses. The page will also show where the portfolio is at any given time.

Brian and David will be considered APUG staff now with the role of 'travelling portfolio administrators'. Welcome aboard guys and thanks for your hard work in getting this project rolling!

That sounds great, Sean. Thanks for the support.

As a longtime member of Echo (echonyc.com--an East Coast BBS used by a number of artists, writers, academics, computer media types, and other interesting people inspired in part by "The Well" on the West Coast), I'm a fan of real-world interaction that develops from online communities. I'm really looking forward to seeing what comes of this and to seeing the prints.

Well, let's see if we have 20 to start with. The two main reasons for starting with 20 are: The size of the portfolio (it will hold about 20 mounted, matted prints), and to keep the circulation time reasonable. If this is a wild success, and there are enough submissions, we could start a second portfolio or do multiple thematic or regional portfolios.

Quick update. We've gotten 6 people signed up so far from the US, Norway, Mexico, etc. Keep the signups coming. Remember, I'll need your shipping address, telephone number and email address.

I'm in, but I'll email you from home tonight... so reserve a spot and add Australia to your list! (Sean and I will probably have to become postal buddies!)

Hmmm..., the postage is getting interesting now. I figure we'll have one or two from the UK and probably elsewhere in Europe in addition to Norway. Is it better to ship East from New York to the UK to Continental Europe to Australia to New Zealand to Mexico to California and back across the U.S. and Canada to New York or the other way? Anyone in the Pacific or East Asia somewhere to ease the jump from Australia/N.Z.?

The traveling portfolio page is up and running now.

It can be accessed via the 'link portal' under 'APUG Content' or by clicking here: (there was a url link here which no longer exists)

I have also created a secure page for portfolio members. Members can enter a password and get the address information of the other members, and an update of 'where in the world' the portfolio is.

Gotta run! Sean

which password? I tried my apug one (although I had to create a new one cause I'd forgotten whatever it was!) but it didn't work? Is there going to be another one sent?

Jorge and Ed,
I just looked at the portfolio list I did not see Ed's name on there.

That has to be the reason. Ed needs to resubmit his name and info to Brian. That would be my guess.
