I have a feeling that while street photography is akin to a type of sport for NB23, the sport is actually Rollerball!

No, the problem here is you want everyone else to acquiesce to your POV.

Surprised nobody's mentioned the Robot cameras here.
Oh, You didn’t understand then.
I reach 1 to 4 fps with my Leica M quite easily.
Frames 3 and 4 are where keepers reside, in high fructose adrenalin packed, award-winning scenes.
So why do you shoot the first two frames? Sounds like you are wasting a lot of film.
Looking at that Magnum Contact Sheet book this is what pros do. 35 so so rejects and one good keeper.
Interesting you bring movies into the subject matter, given your need to blast away until you get something. Almost like taking a still from a movie.
Anyone can make claims.I reach 1 to 4 fps with my Leica M quite easily.
Anyone can make claims.
Prove it. Make the shots on video with a timer of a moving subject. Print the shots and post them up with the video.
Talk is cheap.

I'm pretty good at anticipating it. Sometimes it never happens. But when it does happen, I still miss it.Better yet become more skillful and learn to anticipate the decisive moment. That is what real photographers do.![]()

My word is enough
Ahh, got it, you're trolling. Fair enough, carry on.
Chris
Same can be said for you, sir.
You obviously do not own a Leica M + Leicavit. Because if you did you’d know.
Now please go buy a Leica MP + Leicavit and get back to us. Oh, don’t want to test it yourself?

Arrono, y’all act as if it crazy to shoot street anywhere between 1 and 4 fps.

How are you folks firing the camera that fast?
I have a Ricoh 500 with a bottom pull-cock, but still only good for about 1 fps. The first motor drive camera I ever used only did 3fps on a fresh battery.

I don't think so called street photography is a sport. It is more a meditation.
Leica says you can shoot "up to two frames per second" with the Leicavit.
