That's what happens when you go away for a couple of days and then try to speed read 1750 unread posts.

Damn, this site is getting harder and harder to keep up with.
Try and stay away for 2.5 weeks and see how many posts one has to comb through! Errr .... Good to see this camera is moving along. It is moving along, right?

Regards, Art (Absentee organizer of round 4 - I think - how many rounds are there now?)

Art,

Welcome back.

You picked a good successor in tim. He's been riding herd and keeping us organized.

I think he's up to Round #22 by now.

Well not quite - but it's too bad you missed signing up for the round with the M7. Maybe next round when the Holga passes through?

Hope you're all settled into your new LA abode.

Regards,
George

- on tape delay....

Speaking of which.. who exactly has the M7? I don't want that Summicron walking away.

Sad to say the M7 was destroyed in the vortex created by the multi-camera collision catastrophe.. I did my best to ensure it's peaceful passing..

May it rest in piece(s)..

Still no sign of cam5 in Canada??? John?

It's been on the road for 17 days now. Normally it should take 4-6 days....

-Bjarne

Hi y'all,

My bad behavior here. I PMed John, got confirmation of the safe arrival and fergot to post. Eh?

John has the camera, will pass along when he's good and ready. Hopefully before the spring thaw keeps the camera isoalted in whatever ice burg its stuck in.

BTW - I did like the forward pass along from Norway to Norway.

If I'm not mistaken, camera 5 should be on its way here next. Just in time for the spring thaw:smile:

Hopefully it gets there before the onset of NEXT winter.

When I lived in Montana we had a saying about the 4 seasons... Early winter, mid-winter, late winter, next winter.

What bothered me about Montana is I took a service contract in New Mexico the first two weeks of August and completely missed summer in the Bitteroot Valley of Montana.

Um...any idea where this camera is?

Ya, Either John has it, it has fallen into the Ontario Abyss, or it is on it's way to you.

My predictions should be fairly accurate in this matter at this time.

Want to confirm John?

To sooth your troubled souls...

Word has arrived. banana man is going to receive the camera in a day or three.

We are still doing well, the camera makes it's relentless sojourn across the wilds of frozen Canada. A couple more stops and we will reenter the southern provinces of Canada and make it's way through those other states. By the time we have a new Premier (Nov. 4th), the camera should be done.

Stay tuned for Camera 6.

The grapevine has it the camera has reached central Canada via totally exhausted dog sled puppies. B-man will wait for a break in the ice storms and do his thing.

Now what has happened to Camera 4?

Yes, camera 5 arrived here last week while I was on vacation. I'll get my shot done in a day or so and will ship it off by week's end. Pagan chicken recipe to follow:tongue:

Shot taken and the camera will be off to Walter23 tomorrow.

Breast of Chicken Agenteuil

(a cold dish that is great for warm spring days)

4 chicken breasts, halved, skinned and boned
2 cups dry white wine
1/2 tsp. dried tarragon leaves
1 bunch asparagus
1tsp salt

sauce:
1 cup mayonnaise
2 tbsp sour cream

8-10 radishes, washed and sliced

1. In large skillet combine wine, tarragon and salt. Add chicken breasts. Bring to boiling, reduce heat and simmer, uncovered 10 minutes, turning once.
2. Remove chicken breasts and liquid to shallow dish. Refrigerate, covered for at least 2 hours
3. Cook asparagus to desired tenderness. (I use the microwave for about 3-4 minutes)
4. Make sauce: in small bowl combine mayo and sour cream, mixing well
5. Just prior to serving: remove chicken breasts from liquid. Spread thick layer of sauce on each chicken breast. Arrange on platter, decorate with sliced radishes. Arrange asparagus alongside chicken on platter. Serve.

Drink remaining white wine.
