All, In spite of Art's warnings, I am going to set up a round 5 of "Let's all shoot the same camera".

The differences are:

I am donating a Cannon Sureshot 38 - 90 Zoom loaded with APX100 film 36 exposures.

Yep, Black and white. The camera is auto focus, auto exposure. It will have a new battery put in it. When you get the camera, turn it on, when you take your picture, turn it off.

The film will be developed in Rodinal 1:50 as per the Blinking Eye development chart. My development style is 3 inversion/rotations per minute. I process in distilled water @ 68F (21C).

My credentials? I have been developing B&W film for near 30 years. I am a graduate of NESOP, I majored in B&W projects and photo screen printing.

When the film returns, I will develop it, scan it, and post it on the APUG We all shoot the same camera gallery. I will then forward your negative to you, in a glassine envelope, for you to reprint, repost, whatever.

Add me to the list if there's room.

I copied this idea and started a similar thing at a forum I frequent. Would be fun to be a participant, and in B&W

Chicken Rellinos - Serves 4.

2 whole boneless skinless chicken boobs. Cut into halves.
1 cup (200ml) milk
2 eggs (soory I don't know the metric equivalent)
1/2 cup flour
1/2 cup corn meal

1 pound (500 mg) jack cheese grated. Cheddar will work but it's not as good. Casa Ranchero works in Mexico.

couple of tablespoons olive oil

Sauce:
8 good sized New Mexican or Pasilla peppers charred, skinned and de -seeded. chopped medium.
1/4 pound (125 mg) butter (one stick)
1 onion chopped medium.
1 cup cream.
salt pepper

Heat oven to 350F (175C)
Put oil in bottom of heavy frying pan (cast iron is good)
Heat to medium.
beat eggs and add milk. put in shallow dish.
put flour for dredging in shallow dish.
put cornmeal in shallow dish.
Take chicken, slice pocket in them long ways, stuff with 1/2 grated cheese, fold back over tight.
Dip in flour, dip in milk/egg mixture/ dip in cornmeal.
Put in frying pan, brown till just brown on all sides.
place in long shallow backing pan (9x12 inch) Do all chicken pieces this way.

Make sauce.
Using chicken frying pan, heat to medium, melt butter in pan. Brown onions till translucent. Slowly add 8 to 10 Tablespoons of flour, mixing with whisk as you go. Slowly brown flour till it's a dark yellow color or so.
add cream. mix well, let heat up to just below boiling.
Add peppers. mix in well, cook for about 5 minutes on low.

Salt and pepper to taste.

Pour sauce over chicken in baking pan. Cover with remaining cheese.

Bake for 1 hour at 350F (175C).

Serve over white, brown or saffron rice.

Mmm that sounds really yum! And not even a hint nor sign of pagan practice in the preparation.. if we do a ritual like that every time the camera changes hands this should go off without a hitch

Síle

Now where did I put those virgin chickens..

Good, you're up for the recipe next. After I send it to the first person.

I will get the list, as is, together tomorrow. Minimum is 18 people, max I think will be 30. That leaves room for mistakes, and doesn't leave the camera out in the wilderness for 3 years.

That brings up a noteworthy point.

Round 4 used a disposable.

Your SureShot is much more battery dependent. Perhaps an extra set or two of batteries should travel with it?

Sorry to be a cat - but if you upgrade the technology you have to think of the ramificatioms.

It's already in the plan.

BTW - It's a 38 to 85mm Cannon Sureshot, not 90.

Hmm...someone might have to explain to me the pagan chicken part of this...

lisa nelson

It's obviously an Irish thing.

Let's all Shoot 1 Camera round 4..

(there was a url link here which no longer exists)

Will there be more Pagan rituals performed when in arrives on Irish shores so Sile can expand her chicken recipes? Will it be airlifted off a North Sea platform from Ole? Will Marc make it through this round with all the anxious possibilities? Stay tuned to this thread for play by play updates.

Regards, Art.

I was just doing my bit to help :D

We need 18 to start this thing. If we only have 18 by the end of the week, everyone shoots 2 photos.

BTW - I checked my reserve of APX100 135 film... zut alors! We will be shooting either Ilford FP4 or Kodak Plus X.

Any preference?
