Seemed well-received? I was busy talking to quite a few people (too busy to take pix!) but noticed some folks snapping phones and staring at this one, so that's something I guess.

Thought I'd revive the thread with this one...

I shot this at WeatherTech Raceway Laguna Seca in Monterey, CA in 2023. It was shot on HP5+ and printed on Ilford Multigrade Fiber paper.

I included the print in a portfolio of twenty images called 'The Historics' that I presented at a portfolio review in March. The framed print is currently hanging on my living room wall with a couple more in the series.

I don't usually share my work for personal reasons and I don't digitize my analog work so sharing can be difficult. Excuse the cruddy cell phone images, I'd like to think these look better in person

I was always a fan of waxed natural wood or lightly stained oak or beech frames, after seeing all the photographs in these posts; I'm liking the black frames with a white or off white double mount board.

I will frame and matte to fit the piece when I think it will enhance the image, but I usually default to a plain black frame and white matte. At my local framing shop it is one of the cheaper options, but I also find it pretty universal where it can be hung most places without looking out of place. Also I find it can really add to the punch of an image, especially if the image is pretty high contrast.

Had to replace the carbon print that left the wall. A recent 5x7 platinum/paladium print from Yosemite (frame 10x12).

The frame for the 16x20 print is 24x28 -- a size I find best for 16x20. The standard 22x28 works fine for vertical 16x20, but not horizontals (my opinion for my work, of course).

The 5.5x14 platinum is framed 12x22. Not a real easy size to figure out how best to frame. I have several frames this size, so I'll stick with it for now!

These are installation images from a recent automotive-themed exhibition in which I participated at a gallery in the Bay Area.

The first two photos are from a long-term project I've been working on that documents the Monterey Motorsports Reunion. The last one was taken several years ago at a vintage car dealership in Monterey, CA. All three are silver gelatin prints.

Two of my prints. I have 5 in my "office". The bottom one here is my first print from a 4x5 neg. The neg was horribly over exposed, but I managed to get something out of it (this is my favourite composition from this scene). I think both are Kentmere VC Select fine lustre.
