Sure you can. I ain't got no problem with that expression.

Well we don't have problems with your American but you might have troubles with our English.
My natural speech would be unintelligible for usage slang and diction.
It is closer to your Pilgram Fathers.

No. You can't own an adjective!

I have two Nikon Fs. One black and one chrome. I don't know why but I prefer the look of the chrome one with the Photomic head and the black one with the plain prism.

Steve.

There were two adjectives and a noun

'Good American English'

I got stopped on Sunday by the camera police.
Why is the top of your prism flat?
It does not show on pictures
How can you meter?
/16 rules or Weston in gbag

You'd sure have a hard time down south where I'm from where double negatives are the norm.

No. I've popped the washers off some Wein cells and will use them when my 625a's go dead. There is a machined holder on eBay though. Drop the LR44 in and it's the same size as a 625. I don't have link to it right now. No electronics in it, no need since it's calibrated for 1.5v. Its just made to take up the extra space in the 625 battery compartment. I think it was about $10 US. Sover sent me the link.

I'd love for him to go over my finder and do that. It would be great to put it back to work again. Are you talking about the MR-9 holder?

A plumbers rubber o ring and hearing aid cell lasts 2-3 months and is way cheaper, mine have been ok after five but it is cold here.

They were not rare animals in Baltimore or StLouis, or are they South?

A few years ago, a women at work managed this triple negative: "Don't nobody do nothing".

She'd have been at home in Liverpool. "Day do doh don't day doh?" (translate: They do though, don't they though?, or more parsimoniously, "they do".)

Calm down...

Steve.

Scotland is the only country in the world where a double positive means a negative !

Aye, right !

Back in the mid 60's when I was in the Army one of the slang phrases was, "It don't mean nothing-it's nothing but a thing." Or another was, "It ain't no big gig".

I was wrong about the MR-9 thing. I thought the MR-9 was the one that took LR44 voltage down to 1.35v for use as a 625. These say they are MR-9 but they don't take voltage down. Anyway, here is the link.

So I just popped fresh batteries in my Ftn but got no movement of the needle. Is there a repair manual on the web I can look through to try to repair?

Make sure battery connections are good first...

Hey Guys,

I just wanted to ask you guys for some advice regarding about a purchase I'm considering. I recently bought a Nikon FE from Adorama for 60 USD, it's completely functional and all imperfections are purely cosmetic, none affect picture quality. Now a day later I walk into another camera store to find a Nikon F, with a Photomic (presumably dead, all Photomics are Selenium meters, right?) and a 50mm 1.4. One of the early ones presumably with what's considered an inferior coating to other Nikkor alternatives for 150USD. Now I'm considering getting a refund for the FE and purchasing this Body and Lens, but what do you guys think, could I get a 50mm 1.4 for 90USD or less or should I settle for a later 50mm 1.8, which will be easier to find with a 90 dollar budget? In addition to this what should I look for in a Nikon F that might be of significance?
Thank you all for your time and thoughts on the matter,

Merle
I have both, in fact I have two F Photomic's (1 meters the other one doesn't). I would go with the FE as I feel it is nicer handling. The F is classic, but I prefer the F2 again for the ergonomics. You should be able to find a 50 1.4 that makes you happy that will work on the FE.
