I think a maximum of 6 per group is too much. Shipping can run almost $15 per print from Canada to the US (more elsewhere), as I only send mounted prints.

I think maximum group size of 4 is better, which is what we had in the first couple of rounds.

Please forgive my ignorance but how does the exchange work?

RC or fiber?
mounted or unmounted?
Print size?
Do the prints circulate or do individuals exchange prints and keep the one sent to them?

I look at the threads shown here and didn't see any details.

Hey Mike,

All of the prints that I have received so far have been printed on Fiber and I think that is what most people prefer. I prefer to print on Fiber myself, but have nothing against RC papers.

Mounting is not required. In fact some would prefer to receive prints unmounted. I personally mount all of my prints before they go "out the door".

Print size is up to you.

The prints you receive are yours to keep as the ones you send will remain with the person you send them to.

The bottom line is to send something you would be proud to have hanging in someone elses home.

Thanks for the clarification. Since I shoot almost exclusively Velvia, my prints will all be in color on Fuji Crystal Archive paper - I don't do my own printing.

I FINALLY got my 2nd round prints away - sorry for the delay guys (no excuse, or even a reason - I'm just rubbish at getting stuff done), so if it's not too late, I can now sign up for round 3 with a clear conscience (ish).

I promise to do better this time...

Just to make sure I don't make an idiot out of myself... for the print exchange there are set groups of 5-ish people. I then make 4 prints, different or the same, of a specific negative I am proud of. I then send out those 4 prints, matted or not (my choice right?), to the members of my group. Then in exchange for sending out those prints, the other 4 members of my group send me a print that they have printed. So in the end, each member of each group will have received 4 prints and sent out 4. Please tell me if I have this correct or not. If so, it sounds like fun... about when do you think we will get started? Thanks, -Grant
