Yes - here's a long overdue update: it is my fault.

The last 6-8 weeks have been on hold because of a painful minor spinal & neck injury (me, now mostly recovered), with simultaneous and serious bouts of the flu for me and most of my family. I don't intend that as a valid excuse for not sending the camera on to Ron Longmore. He has followed up with me for the camera, and I am now pleased to report that the camera is on his way to him, fully regaled with the great inner box with the fancy stamps, the instructions, and the journal.

Sorry to keep everyone on hold, but the camera is on the move again. Ron should have it by mid-this week.

Regards, Shawn.

Welcome back Shawn. Sorry to hear about your health challenges, but glad you seem to be on the upside now and glad to hear that the camera is moving again!

YAY! We might finish this thing!!

That's very good news ! Shawn, I'm glad you are doing better, and thanks for this welcomed update

Blaming those damn chickens for the delay, like we always do, but I am pleased to report that, 1,280 days since the start of this thread, the camera (with stamped-inner-box and journal) is now with MA Longmore!

Hi Shawn,

Thanks for that update  I'm glad to learn the Camera travelled safely through NYC ::tongue:
The End is almost here !!!

I think Camera Eleven never left the launchpad...
Best regards,

Raphael

For camera eleventy, I'm hoping we'll hear that Bert is okay.
I’ve emailed Bert, hopefully we’ll here back from him soon.

I haven’t heard back from Bert at all, and it appears he hasn’t been on any of his (photo) social media sites in some time. Unless someone else is successful in getting a hold of him, maybe we need to consider a new leader for the round.

The Camera has traveled a wee bit more since I received it.
We left for a cruise on February 24th, stopped briefly in Antigua, St. Lucia, and St. Thomas U.S.V.I. !
Unfortunately I picked up the virus and barely had enough energy to pick up a camera ...
Hopefully I can get back on the photographic track this weekend !

@M.A.Longmore : Glad to have news from you and the Camera ! I hope you are now OK and kicking  So, it's means there is no shot of Caribbean isles with the Camera ? How sad !

Many thanks for the update.

I for one am certainly glad fatigue hasn't set in after almost FOUR YEARS on this round. How is the camera even still alive?

Ron: when you can, please provide an update.

Happy Spring to all North of the Equator!

Regards,

Shawn

Now that we've all had time to think about it, we could probably do a much better job taking the pictures for this round. I mean, I don't even look the same as I did when the camera was here. And now I wish I'd made a different photo with it, and I should have kept it until the light was perfect. Why don't we send the camera back around in reverse order, so we can all have another go?

Happy Fall to those down under.

I was always amazed that the Camera was so easily derailed from it's track.
But, now that I am the " derailer ", I'm finally beginning to understand the process !
Still haven't recovered from the illness that I inherited on the cruise, still waiting to have enough energy to pick up the camera and get some pictures taken ...
If I can't get it done this weekend I'll have to forward the camera to Newton.

Yeah, at least we know where the camera is and that it is in good hands... presumably

It seems this camera round should be nicknamed the "Dangerous Camera Tour " !

Seriously, hope you are doing better, Ron. Please let us know.

Raphael

I'm thrilled the camera has returned from the dead, and look forward to seeing the photos!
