It's all about honesty, and trust. Obviously, there was one among us who was less than honest, and can no longer be trusted. I'm sure I'm not the only one who is disappointed we won't be able to marvel at the images shared by all. My biggest disappointment is losing the journal that accompanied the camera. I was so looking forward to reading musings of the folks I consider friends. A cherished memory lost to a thief.
And my biggest disappointment is knowing that there are people in the world willing to make this kind of assumption about others without having all of the facts.
Cheers,
Chris

No, it was him. "Lost" in shipping - at least that was the story. Now I question that.

Unfortunately, I was the one who shipped to him both times. At least this time we know for a fact that he got the camera.
It was lost in shipping because you sent to an old address that I hadn't lived at for some time. This was why we made it a requirement to contact and confirm address before shipping ahead.
It never touched my hands. Is this part of "all the pain that I caused"? Find a therapist. I'm sure they can help you work through the pain.

What would you have me believe? We spoke on the phone, you offered up excuses and made promises that were never kept.

Rick and Chris:
Can we not leave it at agreement that we are happy that the camera has finally got to where it should be, and that it was profoundly disappointing that it took as long as it did, and that there was so little communication about the reason for the delay?

Yes - what Matt said.

Some of that famous Canadian pacifism in full display right there! Thanks Matt.

Although I believe both Rick and Chris are each really the gentlest of souls, and besides, I wouldn't know who to put money on: the Northern Pennsylvanian or the Southerner ?

Well folks, this round has outlasted me. Looks like my darkroom is getting packed up very soon(in the next couple of weeks) for an indefinite time. I received a contract on my home today, the closing will happen soon and we have to move out. I have space at the new house, but won't be installing anything until maybe spring. I'm also passing the torch of this round to Shawn to complete what we started so very long ago. I'll stay in touch, and chime in from time to time.
Cheers all.

Yeah, sorry Chris. It is now apparent that was uncalled for. I lashed out, you just lashed back. We're even. Thanks for returning the camera and I am really glad that you are okay.

Hi all,

Well, seriously, as Rick seems very busy in other ways (good luck for your moving, BTW).
I try here to give an abstract of the "never ending" travel of Camera 10 :

1. Sile - Ire
2. Steve Smith - Eng
3. TheToadMen - Nl
4. Raphael - Fr
5. Andrew.Roos - S Afr
6. Dr Croubie - Aus
7. Mooseontheloose - Japan
8. Walbergb - Man Can
9. Matt King - BC, Can
10. Flatulent 1 - Wa USA
11. K Jupiter - Cal USA
12. Ned L - Cal USA
13. Toro Mike - Colo USA
14. AMbaker
15. cdholden - Tenn USA

16. MALongmore - NY USA
17. Newt_on_Swings - NY USA

18. Shawn Rahman - NY USA
^
Camera is here !

Tim (K Jupiter) was opting out, a long time ago, and AMBaker was sadly deceased.

So Shawn got the Camera directly from cdholden, but how about the rounds of @M.A.Longmore et @Newt_on_Swings ??? Of course, this opus started a long time ago... and maybe everybody is now understandably tired, and eager to process the damn film...

Hey Raphael - thanks for the update! I must admit I lost track myself, and you saved me the tedium of scrolling backwards to find the list.

I guess we had a slight change in the sequencing, and @M.A.Longmore and @Newt_on_Swings are still upcoming. Both are veterans of previous rounds, and I have their phone numbers, so don't expect any problems. Much thanks to Rick for getting us here, and for graciously asking me to take the lead to finish up the round. I will process and scan at the end, like in Round 9.

Hope everyone is well. I know it's been three long, grueling years, but we are almost there. I don't mean to get everyone excited, but hopefully a happy ending to this round by New Years?

Regards,

Shawn

I'm not sure that anybody can increase the amount of "jinx" that already applies to this camera (and group).

That’s very true Matt!

Thanks, Shawn,
Of course, it will be nice to have the fellows shots, if they are still Ok ! And there is still a lot of unexposed film in the camera, I guess ! M.A.Longmore was last seen October 15th, not so long ago. But Newt was around several months ago, August 19th.

Shawn, do you get also the logbook along with the camera ?

Best regards,

Raphael

Packing my darkroom for the move, this was pinned to a shelf. Shawn, I have the processing info for it if you don't.

That was the beginning of a difficult time. Shawn now has the camera, including log book and your "gift" roll, yet here you are still trying to justify your actions for calling me a thief and slandering my name. Still, not even an apology out of you. You're a real piece of... work.

I'm sorry to read of the passing of AMBaker.
My condolences to any friends or family that may be reading this.

Yes! And it is an absolute wonder. I hope everyone read all the entries before passing it on? It will be worthwhile to scan and post all the entries. I meant to do that in the last round, but will put some thought into the best way to do this and share.

Shawn

Yes. Please scan the pages and share. I think mine was the first entry, so obviously, I haven't seen any others!

I'm still around you guys haha. I had a feeling I should check in to see where this was at. Shawn ill send you a PM, maybe we can meet for the hand off if you're still in the NYC area, but if our schedules don't work the mail is fine too.

Hey Steve - nice to hear from you. Got your PM, and also exchanged messages with Ron Longmore. I packed up the camera in a new outer box (yes - the inner box with the ultracool stamps is still there) and will send it to Ron, who will send it on to you after his shots, and then we can do the final handoff like last time! This time, I'll stick around for a round of drinks with you.

Fingers, toes, and other appendages are crossed for good luck - we are almost done! No jinxes, please - only good wishes to all for a merry holiday season, whatever you celebrate (or not) in your corner of the world.
