I love the map Raphael! It’s so incredible to see where in the world the camera has been?
But can it be true?
Are we almost home.....

Hey all: I will meet up with Steve (Newt_on_Swings) when I return from vacation last week of August. I appreciate everyone's patience.

Yes, Theo - I will photograph everything and post it as soon as possible. I will save the box for whoever wanted to keep it (have to check back in the thread, but if anyone knows, please share). Once I get the camera, I will take a couple of shots, and then develop, scan, and post the pics. This is not speedy work, but I managed it in the the last round relatively quickly.

This round is coming to close, finally and mercifully! Don't know how we manage to actually complete one of these things. I hope the pics will be worth the wait. They always seem to be.

Regards,

Shawn

Hope everybody is well. It's been 3 months since the above update. Anything to report

Hello all - still alive. The camera is too. As they say - my bad. Steve (Newt_On_Swings) is sending me the camera now after weeks and weeks of waiting for me to free up some time to meet him. So thank him for keeping the flame alive, and I will let you know as soon as it appears!

Happy Holidays, Merry Christmas, and all that to everyone!

As they say - my bad.

I wish they wouldn't. It makes no sense. You can't own an adjective!

Good to hear you're alive though. As I clicked to open this thread, the thought did go through my mind wondering if we were all still alive!

Sorry for yelling! It got awful lonely in here... Just rattling the cage as they also say... whoever THEY are!

Thanks for the update Shawn... happy whatever you celebrate (or don't)

Well, look what I found!!!

It took over four years, but we've somehow managed to bring another camera back home! How we manage to complete these things is perplexing!

I opened the box briefly last night to make sure everything was in tact, and all is just perfect. The camera, wrapped as no camera has ever been wrapped, is apparently in good shape and on frame 31. The inner box with all the fancy stamps is also in excellent shape. I flipped through the journal quickly, and it looks magnificent. Seems like everyone took some time to write, sometimes several pages each. Very impressive.

I will take my shots before New Year's Eve, but I will document everything else on my iPhone and start posting it for everyone to enjoy. Everything but the film will be sent back to Rick. Thanks to Steve (Newt_On_Swings) for a wonderful final packing job, and to everyone else who is now four years older. That's a long time. Hope everyone is still with us, and doing well.

Be back shortly, but CONGRATULATIONS to Rick and everyone else for a great cycle. Now let's see what the negatives give us.

Happy New Year everyone!

Wow - four years! Is this longest running LAS1C exchange? Regardless, I’m glad it made back home.

So when does round 11 start?

 Wait... wait... WHAT ?! Have I read correctly the words before my very own bulging eyes ??? THIS IS THE END, MY DEAR FRIENDS !!! Or almost

I confess I wasn't believing to an end of travel before end of 2018..
And I missed this stunning news from more than two days ?

Many thanks Shawn for this very great news  And please, let us know also when you'll shot your rounds...

Of course, I think, IMHO, you can shot the rest of the film after your two, unless you plan to do it at the one-shot-by-month pace :D
I hope film is ok, after all theses years, thousands of kilometers and miles, yards and furlongs, rogue and fierce postmen, customs officers, x-ray scans, etc.

I am eager to see the pictures !!!

In my timezone, it's just Christmas Midnight past 30 minutes, so I wish to all a Merry Christmas !!!
And thanks again, Shawn, for this nice Holiday Present

Thanks for the friendly poke, toro! Off for developing it goes now. I will scan the journal and then send everything, including the box to Rick.

Hope everyone is well.

Thank you for your patience. Thanks to our illustrious and colorful leader (I mean, in the orange sense, and not in personality), work is as busy as ever, with 16-18 hour days for weeks on end at one point. I will go down to the lab that has the film processed now for several weeks and pick it up this week. I hopefully should have good news at the end of this week and scans up shortly. Camera 10 is still alive, and so am I, I promise!
