Both are Harman products the Kentmere is cheaper normally about 2/3 in bulk.
Difficult to tell apart.

The only thing you got is tiger snakes and whitewash for pommies.

Is my research on google correct that kentmere only comes in 35mm?

Furthermore it seems this emulsion may be marketed under some rollei as a 120?

Here's a rundown:
Box of film: HP5+ Rodinal 1+25 6 minutes [RB67]
Sign: Fomapan 200 - Stand developed [M656 PRO]
motor cycle: GP3 100 Stand developed [M645 PRO]

Unless it was a deliberate choice, it seems that you have some problem with calcification and with those dust too.

The dust would be from lack of skill handling negatives.

Could you elaborate on calcification please?

I think the white spots with circular shapes are not dusts, they are the residues (micro limestone/chalk due to calcium calcium carbonate) of high mineral content hard water.

I had similar aliens on my negs before, since I have switched to distilled water for diluting developer/fixer/wetting agent they literately disappeared.

Sorry for digress the original topic, it was solely strange to see these on MF negs.

Photoflo certainly helps if applied correctly, but if the water you use for processing and final bath is hard, it may not be enough to avoid these deposits. It is usually a safe bet to use de-mineralized water (in combination with Photoflo or similar) at least for the final rinse.

What do you mean by "it doesn't like Ilford films"?

I know this is the internet and you can sound like you have some authority on the subject, but such statements are so full of BS.

"rodinal doesn't like Ilford films", meh.

to answer your questions in turn:

yes, only 135.

No, but there is a lot of shit talked on the internet about what film is what film, and Harman/Ilford have repeatedly stated without qualification that they do not rebrand their own emulsions under brand names different from their own..

NB this does not mean that Harman might not make film for Rollei (or anyone else) but simply that if they do make ilm for someone else, it will not be to the same formula as films marketed under the Ilford or Kentmere or Harman brandnames.

Confirmed and

The APX100 used to say 'made in Ge'
the new APX100 says 'made in EU'

FWIW I've never seen a 'bad' film from ilford, so if they produced it then it should be good

Duly noted, I'll obtain some distilled or demineralised water for the Photoflo

Not really what I meant to come off with,
I should have really qualified it with:

"HP5 and rodinal seem to be much grainier than combinations of other films with rodinal or other developers with HP5".

Also tried PANF and again I'm not convinced rodinal brings out the most in it as compared to what it does so easily for other films

It was mentioned that kentmere 100 is quite good, apparently Rollei RPX100 for 120 is similar, and is easily and cheaply available in Australia, can anyone comment?

Thanks,
My thoughts exactly - since vanbar sadly closed their sydney operation lofico would be easiest.
Do you like the film? From what I Can tell it warrants a try from the search results.
Never tried rollei

I need to try RPX 25 more, but I like Retro 80S too much in the sub 100 speed category.

I just grabbed 15 litres of distilled water so I'm going to give it a go, using it for the final bath in Photoflo should be enough?
I imagine I'd use a lot if I have to use it for the developer too, at least fixer and stop bath are reused.

FYI anyone in Australia it's currently on sale at SCA for $2.88 per 5 litres.

FWIW, those labels say demineralized water, not distilled water.

Two similar but different things.

Demineralized may, however, meet your needs.

Thanks, you're right. If my understanding is correct it would solve the mineral deposit issues, but not any PH concerns (which I don't think there are)

Rodinal has always been(IMHO) a marvelous developer. I've used it from Tri-X to FP-4 and that's where it shines. It does well with Pan F as well at ASA 32 diluted 1:100 for 9 minutes.

Apologies but I tried googling what that means and couldn't determine it. Please explain surfant if you could be so kind.

Dishwashing liquid contains other things than just a surfactant. These other ingredients may not be good for film. Stick with Photo-Flo or another product designed for film.
