Rite Aid pharmacy color processing service - negs returned?

Does Rite Aid still return negatives?
Or are they discarding them like walmart? Does it vary by format?
What are current prices like for c-41 and e-6?

Don't quote me on this, but I'm pretty sure they return them - at least they do by me. Our Rite Aids, Drug Marts, and Walgreen's typically have their own mini-labs in the store. Just ask before you leave them your film.

Unfortunately for me, our Drug Mart does a good job developing, but their printing is ink; I tried it, but don't like the prints. Our Walgreen's has both ink and RA-4, but their film processing has become too variable.

I've no idea of the prices - I usually don't pay attention to that when having film developed and printed. I usually get the CD, and double-prints (so I can give some away). I'm guessing around $15-$20 a roll with prints and disc.

when i spoke with them not too long ago, their send out service was still through fujilabs
( who i guess is the only game in town ) and they only pricess 35mm c41 ...
everything else from 110to 120, from e6 to movie film, goes to dwaynes in kansas.
walmart/sams club opted not to pay for return shipping for the fujilabs stuff ( c41 ) ( or so i was told )
and all e images are transferred over the wire and printed in-store.
fuji told me a while back riteaid doesnt have the same system ( yet ) and they didnt know if or when they would upgrade to the 21st century

I've asked about film processing at several of the Walgreen's and Rite-Aid stores in the area. It has been a long time (several years) since I got anybody who knew more than where the enveloped were for film processing.

There's a Mike's camera store (used to be Wolf Camera, and Ritz Camera before that) in a nearby town. They have a Fuji Frontier on site and some people actually know how to run it but hey fail to do the quality runs so the end results ar highly variable.

I've completely given up on color for lack of any decent local labs.

I've given up completely on places like Walgreens or other large department stores for processing. They have such infrequent film business, they just don't care. They don't clean the rollers and gunk gets deposited on negatives; chemicals get changed infrequently.

I send my film to Blue Moon.

Doing some running around this weekend, every Rite Aid I passed has a "24-hour" processing sign (at least in my area). These are signs with individually lit letters, just like the "Rite Aid" sign. I can't imagine they'd not return anything, as they can only do the 24-hour processing on site.

I'm pretty sure they only handle 35mm C-41, though. It may be different in your area.
Quality is an entirely different issue.

My local Rite aid got rid of their mini-lab about 6 months ago.
