Ian, all I can say, as the typical man in street, I hope, is that in your exhibition pictures what counted for me was the interest and feelings they evoked to either a greater or lesser extent in each case
Yes they had to be reasonably correct technically speaking as does every picture in order not to detract from the interest and feelings they evoke but that's all

The same applies to all Gallery shots I ever look at here on Photrio

In the event of a comparison video such as Andrew's I looked at how they appear to my eye as that is what the purpose of the video was. When I see differences I comment on what I see, then ask how those differences came about and why.

We need to be conscious of the ever present danger of " the slide into arguing about how many angels can alight on the head of a needle "
