Potential Disruption To Product Supply In The US

Please see below statement regarding the problems with our US distributor...

On Friday August 25th the US distributor of HARMAN technology products (WYNIT) suddenly and unexpectedly halted its distribution activities, including those for our products (ILFORD Photo, Kentmere and Harman; as well as for Paterson and Agfa color film products).

As a matter of urgency, we are now assessing how the continued supply of our products can be maintained in the US in this busy 'Back to school' season. We are keen to minimise any delays or stock outs of product, although at this point we cannot guarantee that this will be the case.

Please be assured that we are committed to the ongoing supply of our products in the USA, and are doing our utmost to minimise any disruption to their widespread availability."

I have let our program director know and to check supply levels current and anticipated, etc. The darkroom program at our school commences in the Fall so this is good to know now.

WYNIT lost a lawsuit and declared bankruptcy. Their Greenville facility is shuttered for good.
Perhaps this is an opportunity for Harman and Kodak to return to a model where they sell directly to stores.

Oh Bummer!!! Fortunately, I am well stocked with chemistry, film, and paper. Should last me until this issue is resolved.

Which film exactly are you looking for? I checked HP5+ and it looks in stock at Freestyle and B&H, Unique Photo.

I got an email from Freestyle today declaring Ilford film and paper in stock and ready to ship. I just checked and stuff looks available, I didn't find anything I use out of stock. I try not to order jumbo orders, just buy some now.
