I've neglected to report the stack of cards growing on my desk that I've received this past week or so.
(not in order)

"morning conversation, cup o' joe" from @jvo
@Tom Taylor
's print of the woodlands.
"Isaak Siemen" from @Rob Skeoch —I LOVE the sailing stamps (I also love the print ◡̈)
"Giant Weed Whacker" from @mshchem — arrived a little whacked by the postal system 😅
@Pitotshock's still-life print.
"Ascent to Monte Elmo, view of the main Alpine ridge" from @Thorsten, which is a MASSIVE mounted print that made it all the way from Germany.

Thank you all for sending your wonderful prints!

I received jvo's "morning conversation, cup o' joe". A nice quiet street scene, coupla folks just chillin' out. Would that by any chance be on Ulmerton? My granddaughter lives in that neck of the woods, and we travel Ulmerton frequently when we're down there. It is indeed a main thoroughfare. Thanks James!

PCX#59 gems received as of July 17, thank you all!:

July 17 - Tom Taylor - Henry Coe State Park - Beautiful capture of the emotion of the bright and oppressive heat of a backpacking trip when you have to make the miles! Love the darkroom details as well. Nicely done!
July 12 - Jim Christie - The Stiarway - Excellent composition and capture. When masked off into sections they all tell a story. I like the eyes the most.
July 12 - Daniela - Jeu de Paume - Nicely seen! I like the tones, detail and the back story. I also like the shadows cast between the columns.
July 7 - Krefey - Ascent to Monte Elmo, view of the main Alpine Range - Massive subject delivering contrast, texture, space and depth, a beautiful photograph!
July 7 - Rrrgcy - Oh Carrie! - Cool creative treatment, image on image. Conveys light, heat and humidity and the sun via the hand coloured mangos. Nicely thought out and executed!
July 5 - henryjjames - South Spanish Coast at La Cala del Moral - Beautiful scene nicely executed composition and tones, and the timing of the waves and the contrail in the sky, well done!
July 5 - mfohl - Abandoned Building - Golden hour makes all the difference, assuming early morning or late afternoon sun that casted the shadows on the door. Well seen, timed and executed!
July 4 - Michael Howard - OldStones - Beautiful composition and printing, I especially like the hidden figure!
July 4 - koraks / Raphael - Red Wall - I love this subject and while I default to B&W I think this really works well in colour, nicely done!
June 30 - Rob Skeoch - Isaak Siemen - Great idea for a series and well executed, I love the sharpness and detail!
June 27 - tel - Lobby - This is my first PCX and I am finding inspiration in many of the images, this is one. Night street photography, symmetrical yet asymmetrical with a hint of a decisive moment. Nice!
June 27 - AnselMortensen - Abstract - Absolutely wonderful. Composition, texture, contrast, it speaks to me!
June 14 - Pitotstock - A Simple Still Life - Inspiring as well modern materials with vintage look, well done!
June 7 - Don Heisz - The Tree - Inspiring me to not be so hasty to get rid of fogged paper, great result!

This week I received @Tom Taylor's pic. I always enjoy nature B&Ws- and I can relate with the difficulty of this type of contrasty scenes, as that kind of light is what I get here for the longest part of the day and the longest part of the year!

Last Friday I also sent my batch at last so they'll start dripping in at some point

I just received drpsilver's "Tidy Tips, Edgewood", some small flowers very nicely separated from the grass in the background. Some nice unexpected smiles. Thanks Darwin!

I just received @drpsilver 's "Tidy Tips, Edgewood." Beautiful composition with these cute little flowers that I had never seen before. I looked them up and they're native to the western US, so that explains why. They're lovely; I can understand why they're your favorite. Thank you, Darwin!

PCX#59 gems received as of July 24, it had been a week since I received a card and was worried that was it - thanks drpsilver!

July 24 - drpsilver - Tidy Tips, Edgewood - Nice capture both artistically and technically! I like non-traditional use of the negative space and depth of field selection. Curious about the use of the two developers - tell me more!
July 17 - Tom Taylor - Henry Coe State Park - Beautiful capture of the emotion of the bright and oppressive heat of a backpacking trip when you have to make the miles! Love the darkroom details as well. Nicely done!

4 cards came in the mail, today:
@jvo "morning conversation" - looks like a pleasant place to sit with coffee. I can see the appeal - it looks calm and quiet.
@bedrof "concrete and light" would have been a great addition to the Shadows monthly shooting assignment a while ago. It's very well exposed and enlarged. It's almost unreal-looking.
@negativefunk "weed" - it is indeed a classic shot of plants bowing under the wind.
@drpsilver "tidy tips" - like @Daniela , these flowers don't grow wild around here - if they did, I probably would have taken a photo or two of them!

Thanks!

Oh, it's been like two months since I sent it. Glad you got it. And I beleive that one was for round 58. No wonder then that more recent cards haven't shown up in North America yet.

Todd:

I have found that a combination of Ilford Multigrade and Kodak Dektol developers gives me a cooler tone print, somewhat deeper blacks, and less likely for a print to have the "greenies". I think this is true because Dektol is a "harder working" developer that Multigrade. Also note that I dilute the Multigrade (1+5), not the recommended (1+9). I find this also helps with the higher Dmax in the shadows. The "greenies" is my name for the slight green tone characteristic of the mid-tones on some Ilford papers (all RC papers). This tint is completely removed by selenium toning.

"Tidy Tips" DRPSILVER I don't think we get Tidy Tips in Scotland. Beautifully selenium toned.

SJC1952, Daniela, and Don_ih:

Tidy Tips need mild wet winters, and dry summers to do will. I suspect that Scotland, France, and Canada experience too cold a winter for them to do well. I am glad you like the photo. Thank you.

Regards,
Darwin

I only received one card this week.

"morning conversation, cup o'joe" from JVO shows a couple enjoying a toning coffee. The stories they could tell of what they have observed. This image engages the imagination. Thank you.

Regards,
Darwin

I guess that's because in July you expect cards for Round 59 instead of late comers for the previous one.

This exchange is extremely forgiving of late arrivals. I think everyone is pleased to get a card, no matter when it was sent, for what round. It's appreciated.

I got two more:
"Morning conversation" by @jvo - nothing better than a coffee ever. I like that you often take a picture of the couple. Is it always them? That could be interesting in its own right!
"Spring Rain" by @bedrof - a bit of a coincidence as I was meant to go camping very close to Castellfollit de la Roca a few weeks ago for my birthday! It's still pending though, the weather was bad and we headed to the Pyrenees up north instead. I like the composition and the execution - thanks for this.
Happy mines are dripping through too.
