+1 on that -incidentally Pinecones also open in the Fibonacci sequence.I also received the Cactus about a week ago. Great find, great execution.
Now I have my postcards printed, although a few of them are still drying. I'll try to get them out early in the week.
So many possible images, and so little time to print. Must make time to play in the dark.
I printed my first three postcards today...Whoohoo!!! I might just send them off tomorrow already.
I too have received one of these postcards, with only the senders 'actual' name on it, so I'm glad that others have mentioned who it was from on this forum....cards received:
dodphotography - "Le Marais - Paris Street Art" - an intriguing vignette of some street art. I see that it is a portion of an 8"x10" contact print. Does that mean that other recipients have received other portions of the same contact print?
Two cards received so far:
1) vedostuu - "Ficus" - I too appreciate the light and airy feel. And I always enjoy cards that look good no matter which way they are turned!
I also received DRPSILVER's spiraling composition today. At first glance I could not believe it was a photograph of an actual physical object....so perfectly composed and toned as it is. Very nice work Darwin!
The plant-theme now covers 100% of the postcards I have received.
Did I miss out on some secret instruction?
Anyway DRPSILVER, my postcard to you is something entirely different is en-route. I hope you like it.
Regards,
Bill (BSP)
Two cards received so far:
2) drpsilver - "Fibonacci Cactus" - The Fibonacci progression has fascinated me since my early years as a university math and physics student - a very long time ago. Darwin's card shows a perfect example, with the cactus wonderfully framed and presented. The print quality is great as well.
Back in my university science days, I was amazed to learn that there was an entire scientific journal - The Fibonacci Quarterly - devoted to all things Fibonacci. I am happy to advise that it remains a going concern: https://www.fq.math.ca/index.html
+1 on that -incidentally Pinecones also open in the Fibonacci sequence.
Paul Caponigro did some spectacular pictures of Sunflowers IIRC.08 Nov 2019
Matt, I have also been interested in the Fibonacci sequence because it shows-up seemingly everywhere. Thank you for your comments, and information about the Fibonacci Quarterly
Jake, ... and sunflower seed heads.
Regards,
Darwin
