O-Boy, first card off the starting line, looks like a 56 Merc all decorated with Christmas Tree lights, at night time ,in a yearly Chrismas parade, in the rain, somewhere in a town in West Virginia, an action shot for sure..No name mentioned who sent it," but a truly magnificent example of "Home Town Pride" being recorded on FILM. This card inspires me.

The mystery card has also arrived in Pennsylvania. A beautiful, well exposed and printed postcard. I love the faint details you were able to hold in the darkened building in the background. They like to start parades with a strong band in the lead. We are off and running with a very strong image for round 40. If you haven't received this one yet, look forward to it arriving! Thanks.

The "mystery card" card also arrived in Los Altos, California. I agree that it well photographed and printed. The car reminds me of the stories that my Dad told me about his late 1940's Hudson.

Regards,
Darwin

I too have received the card with the wonderful old car - it is really nice.
Based on where it is from, I am guessing it is rpavich's card.

Well, I've just finished addressing and writing out all of my postcards for my first go at the postcard exchange (= February 2017). The (rather nice for the overseas recipients at least) stamps have been stuck. It's too horrible to venture out to post them just now, having missed the last post anyway, so they will be posted on their way tomorrow for pick up Monday I should imagine.

I've received two cards so far. The beautifully printed mystery car from W.V., and a lovely view from Blair Castle from here in the Netherlands. Thank you to those who were so quick off the mark!

My darkroom time this month has been completely occupied with making my mother's 70th birthday preset -- for which event I'm about to head off on a 2 week international trip.

So, sadly my postcards are only going to get made when I get back.

I received kraker's Banvie Burn card while I was away, shooting in Marseille. BlairAtholl is a place I visited (too) many years ago, thanks for bringing these memories back!

Got your card here kraker, Banvie Brun at Blair Castle. Like the scenery of this place and the wrought iron fence in the fore ground. Also Tezzassmall, 30 years in a text book, I would feel a little flat, but not this neg, its got a lot going for it like the British Rail at West Ham.

I've got Tezzassmall's card in the box today. I like the image, and it makes me feel less guilty about my negatives backlog

Good to see that the cards are starting to arrive. Having not done anything on this scale before, I find it quite exciting to think that more than one person is seeing one of my images at a time and all around the world too!

I've received the "mystery" card, with a very nice car beautifully printed on it.

What makes it a "better" mystery is that the card had no address information when I've got it.? The mail(wo)man was very amused of this, and proud that she properly decuted it was for me, due to the number of cards I receive!

Previously I've got a card which made it to Australia "piggy backing" another one (and was kindly forwarded by the unintended recipient), but this one is at least as nice!

Winger's card just arrived. Love the books, the antiquated feel and tone that you achieved. I can remember splitting the cost of a Polaroid film back with a friend at Art Institute in Pittsburgh years ago, so we could shoot studio assignments quickly with Type 55 film. I think he must still have the back. Now I wish that I had it for use with my 4 x 5. That 2005 film sure is precious.

Kraker's card arrived too. I really like the way that the fence pattern sharply contrasts with the landscape. September in Scotland. I bet that was a magical time to shoot film. Keep the Scottish images coming for a few more rounds, I'm sure they will be very nice after seeing this one.

I too have received kraker's car, and agree that the patterns are great.
It looks great upside down as well!

I received Winger's card. Just love it, the old, indeed antiquated (borrowing vocabulary from Randalcav) atmosphere, a great postcard. Your neighbor was right, the books are great to photograph and you did an excellent job.

Thanks for all those who have commented on my card. I would have to check my negatives, I know I also took a shot without the fence, but I don't know which I did first, with or without. I'm glad I included it, I think it adds to the picture.

Winger's card made it's way to the southwest coast of Canada as well.
I like the old books along with the newish glasses.
I also like all the "55" indicators - the uneven edges, the pattern at the end, and the wide tonal range and subtle transitions.
