You forgot about the iphone rendition with the slight edits, in the end.

I used a orange filter. Developed normally and printed according to my negatives. I just followed the chain as I always do.

When I print I am a slave to the negative. I try to find the best exposure and burn in the highlights. As opposed to wanting details in the shadows, I always look for the details in the highlights... this is where my main drive is.
My gearing towards highlights with the most details as possible is probably what pushes the blacks deeper...

These are nice! @NB23 how much of your "signature look" is film exposure+development vs printing? You're not shy about crushing shadows. Do you do this in the darkroom? Always wonder how your negatives look like...

This image was previously uploaded. It's one that I've never been able to find the right balance between mood and tone. The previously uploaded version was too heavy. Partly because of the difference between my monitor and how it looks on the site and partly from a new direction I was taking. I wanted to go emphasize the light where the lake narrows and not being too concerned about the reality of the scene. This version takes a few steps back.

Dusk, Donan, Scotland -

This looked to heavy in a previous upload. I think this is better.

Agfa APX100, expired back in 2011, rather badly fogged, developed in homebrew stock Xtol (patent formula). Shot with a Canon EOS 33V, EF 24-70 f/4 IS lens at 24mm, f/11 or thereabouts and a yellow filter, ΕΙ32. Film scan, Minolta Scan Dual III. Ambracian gulf, NW Greece.

Where were the last couple of group of images taken? I love the feeling of loneliness and isolation. They appear to be coastal. It feels like the off season of a small beach community. Very much enjoying them.

You have nailed it. Yes, there is a great sense of solitude, which is pretty much 365/365 in that part of the world.

They were taken in the Gaspesia peninsula. A beautiful place.

The photos in this thread are SO much better than 99% of the photos in the gallery!

Digital -- but this marks 1 year since I started going analog. I can take this shot only 2 days a year from my front porch, if I move left the house gets in the way, move right and a post and tree block the view. So the sun is only between the trees for two days. I call it Palmhenge.

The one I took last year was the first one I printed when I started making prints again. A month later I was pretty much shooting all film. So Wednesday night, for nostalgia's sake, I took the shot again (this one) then Thursday when the sky was even clearer I went at it a little differently and tried again. Thursday's attempt I got a few green flashes, too.

Weird using the Z7 for anything other than scanning negatives. Haven't taken it off the copy stand since Labor Day.

Moose22 I like the last as it is mysterious!

Good color shots
