Classic composition. And the IR is kind of cool here.

How expired was that film? This came out great.
Thanks, it expired 3/2003, I bought it from someone here on Photorio. I’m sure it was refrigerated, it’s in excellent condition.

I like the dead craggy tree surrounded by all the lush growth. I also like how it feels like a hot and muggy late afternoon in August.

Thanks. Pretty good guess: it was late June, but definitely hot and humid!

It occurs to me that this might fit well in your series!

It might indeed! For some reason I thought "mosquitos" when I opened it
Actually not - it is a steadily flowing stream under all those reeds, and the area (Campbell Valley Regional Park) has lots of moving air.
I've got lots of photos from the Park :D.
From another part of the Park:

Mono continuously changes with the light. It's normally otherworldly. but with snow, it's otherworldly-plus.

Another of the layer series? This one's not quite so even, but still stratified, and an interesting view compared to what you normally see from the city.

One of my favorites is so because of the layering thing. Not sure if it's a landscape or not with the girl in it, but it's less about the girl than the light so I'll share:

@Moose22 nice one! I wonder how adding a bit of exposure would make it look.

I don't have a proper version of the final on line to share, but slightly lighter is better. Just enough the rocks are a little more distinct.

I rediscovered this last year during lockdowns and revisited it, but I only messed with it more for printing. This was the first version I put up, but the only one I have online.

In the end, it's lighter as I prepared it for printing and it... well, the print glows. And, strangely, it's much better than on screen. Really got me putting more on paper again, rather than pixels. But on the best version the girl is still mostly a silhouette, though the rocks are more clear and the highlights on the rocks are better highlighted. I had them run three versions and showed them to folks. Too much lighter kind of loses the magic, and people don't stare at the well exposed print as much, the slightly dark version they keep coming back to it.
