My uploaded images look fine on my monitor at home but dark on the one at work. This is the one from work. Not right but closer. Which look more correct?

I can't resist asking:
"Are you going to poll a bunch of us, and use statistical analysis to determine which to use for the "first, excellent screen image"? :whistling::D
I expect the lighter image is more correct, but I prefer the darker image - the additional "weight" it gives really adds to the power of the photo.
And speaking generally, it is great to see your photography, after so much time just reading your words.

Something like Agra, Kansas. It's right on their main street. You can see it on Google maps.

Nope, Down the road from Agra. It's on N. Jackson Ave in Kensington, Kansas.

The lighter image is more correct on my work monitor the other is more correct on my home monitor. I just don't know if what I'm uploading represents my intentions. This is what drives me crazy about digital. Frank53's image looked light on my home monitor and good on the work monitor, so...

The lighter image doesn't have the richness as it does in Photoshop. It's a copy of image from here and manipulated with Microsoft Photo. The lighter image is more correct on my work monitor the other is more correct on my home monitor.

I’m confused. Almost everything visible to either side of the building facade, including the sky, is a mirror image. The shadow on the right doesn’t look correct either. Hmmm. My kind of photograph.

The shadows are correct. Look at the shadows around the bricks, windows and doors.

This was shot down the road from the Telephone Office image. Near Agra. About 30 minutes before.

Wow Stephen, your pictures are all great!

Thanks Bill.

All done without any magical thinking. No magical film / developer combination. No intuitive accuracy. Just a little sensitometry and tone reproduction theory. Just me, a camera, a few thousand dollars in testing equipment, and a dream.
