This sounds like a great plan. I use Jobo stuff these days but I've put 2 120 films on a Paterson reel, I made it difficult by taping the 2 films together.
I used Paterson tanks for years without a problem, haven't bought a new Paterson tank in 30 years so can't comment on the current lids.
AP type reels are great for 120, much simpler than Jobo.
I do really like my Jobo 1520 for processing 2 120 at a time.

Just ordered 1520 with 2 reels and a hand roller.
I am shooting a lot of vision 3 and will utilize flexicolor c41 one shot to keep things cleaner.
Too bad the math does not work for xtol 1:1. Unless I put 400ml deleted xtol and hand rotate that.

One of the many reasons I use replenished X-Tol - I fill up my 1 litre tank each time.

Yes, XTOL replenished works great. I kept a 2L soda bottle as my "tank". I used this for 1/2 gallon hard rubber open tanks to develop 4x5 sheet film and in a Paterson tank to develop roll films.

The little manual rollers that Jobo sells work great for color prints in a tube and even for color film development.

I use XTOL stock when developing rotational, 1 shot and toss. When I didn't have the machine I developed a whole lot of film 1:1 using inversion.

You will really like this setup. A popular topic here is how to "snip" the corners of the 120 film so as to feed smoothly onto the Jobo reel. Just a tiny snip, preferably round. I use a hobby "corner rounder", the smallest made, Mr Matt King has recommended finger nail clippers, something most people already have.

If you have any difficulty, do what I do and use IR goggles strapped to your head. I look like a fool but since it's dark no one can see me. 😊

I just tried replenished xtol. Not happy how dirty it got and it also somehow screwed a few tmax3200 shot @1200.
So I went back to 1:1. Cleaner
More predictable.

I am not worried about rolling the 120. Pretty easy with Paterson. I doubt jobo is very different. I have a master degree in classical guitar. Pretty good with the fingers.

In theory 1520 hand rotation should work with 1:1 400ml “200 stock” solution so each film has at least 100ml of stock xtol.
I will experiment to find out the difference between rotation and inversion with xtol 1:1.

I'm trying to think of something that might have led to both a lot of residue in replenished X-Tol used for just a few rolls and unusually firm Paterson lids.
Extreme temperature changes?

Yes. Develip

xtol replenished stayd at 75f all the time.
But the lids use to be washed in max hot water.

If you use the twiddle stick for your initial agitation, you can then take your time to get the lid on and check round it before the next agitation is required.

That is exactly what I do. To prevent stripes o my 120 film I prefer to rotate the entire tank instead of "twiddling" the reel only.
Therefore, I use the lid for the development step, but found that -just like Radost mentions- it takes long to securely fix the lid for the initial agitation.
I start with pouring in developer, then rotate with the stick, then remove stick and close the lid on the tank. Then I can turn the whole tank fo agitation.
Next steps are then done again with the twiddle stick.

XTOL and replenished XTOL are very forgiving. I use 500ml in my tanks, but that is for my Jobo tanks and drum.

I use a Paterson System IV tank and reels. I never use the lid but yeah, it is stiff and that makes it difficult.

Do you use xtol 1:1 by any chance?

Is it a System IV tank and reels - discontinued in 1989 I think - or the current Super System IV version?
Why they didn't call it System V, I've never figured out.

Indeed. I have both System IV and Super System IV but only ever use the latter and...yeah, why didn’t they call it System V? Maybe they wanted to indicate that the new stuff was/is compatible with the the older? IDK.

Which jobo tanks do you use and how so you adjust the times?
Are they close to what Kodak recommends for rotation?

I use the times specified in the XTOL pdf. The one thing that I have had to adjust for is the Ilford HP4+ and HP5+ need one minute added to the 20 degree C [68 degree F] time so that the negatives will dense enough.

Thank you.
Which jobo tanks?

Jobo PPE2 and 1500 tanks. I have to look to see which ones. That is why I left that out before.

Do you put the minimum requirement chemicals or more?
What speed do you use for xtol?

I fill the tank or drum which takes 500ml and I always use Box Speed. XTOL gives a slight speed boost which I just let provide a little more shadow detail.

Using only Box Speed I can adjust for either any choice filter or Zone System exposure for shadow detail or both.

Thanks. Sorry for confusion I meant rotation speed 1500 thanks.
And is 500 the maximum or minimum?
It’s says on the tank.
