Thanks. Sorry for confusion I meant rotation speed 1500 thanks.
And is 500 the maximum or minimum?
It’s says on the tank.
You can use more than the recommended volume of chemistry in rotation, however it's a good idea to take the tank off the rollers and give it an inversion a couple times every minute or so.
I have a Duolab machine, maximum film tank is a 1520. These processors use a special cog on the lid, these require screwing a special 270mL bottle to the tank lid.
On the Duolab you have a difficult time keeping much more that 250ml in the tank in rotation, any more and the excess drains back into the attached bottle. Thus if I want to run 400ml of XTOL 1:1, I take the tank with the attached bottle off every minute and give it a couple inversions.
Not sure how this would make any difference using a manual roller with the red rubber cap on the tank. Using manual rolling you really have the best of both worlds. Rotation and inversion possible.
Standard recommended speed for 1500 series tanks on my newer CPP3 is 70 rpm, going both directions, it reverses every few revolutions. It's not rocket science. My opinion is you can use recommended rotation speeds, give the tank a couple inversions every minute or two to keep the solution well mixed and not stagnating in the top of the tank.
