    "J.A. Martin, Photographe" Canada 1976

The introductory scene shows preparing for and taking a wet collodion photograph. The rest of the movie describes the pericles of a travelling photographer in the 19th century.

    Can anyone identify this ???

Should be a still camera taking photos in series on its own, for surveillance.
The props artist could have taken anything, but maybe it was a camera for real...

This is quite a good movie...very much worth seeing.
Anyway...... at about the 5:15 mark there are lots of 35mm SLR and flash units of the day..

Okay! A Leica screw mount with a reflex housing, and a Zenza Bronica, perhaps a S2 or S2a? Pretty short lens on the Bronny for clandestine work... Not to mention a shutter racket to wake the dead! Ask me how I know!

Not exactly old, but I was rewatching the HBO TV show “The Wire”. And the police servelience from the rooftops was using a Nikon F2.

I also rewatched “The Adventures of Buckaroo Banzai across the 8th Dimension” and there was a Nikon of some sort in the operating room scene in the beginning, with one of those big medical lenses with a built in ring light.

(Sorry, no easy way for me to snap screenshots.)
