I used to have a 60CT2 and it worked well with the F3. I now have the 60CT4 which also works well with the F3 but I am not quite sure about the 45-CT5. It seems that the 60CT4 uses the same adapter as the 45CT4 but not the 45CT5.

See Note 11

BTW, this is why I never got a CT-5 despite years of being infatuated with it. In hindsight, though, I rarely see a difference between F-3 TTL flash and F-3 with a flash-mounted sensor.

There must be something wrong with the chart. The chart said that both the 45CT5 and 60CT2 can't be use with the F3 in TTL. In 82 I bought the F3 and I bought the 60CT2 in 83 specifically for its TTL operation. They worked. I don't have the 60CT2 any more so I can't tell which module it was that I used.

From what I understand, that is correct. The 60CT2 was the 60-series equivalent of the 45CT5 and took the same 500-series adapters. And yes, the 60CT4 is the 60-series equivalent of the 45CT4.

Incidentally, the sync cords have different plugs for the different flashes. You can't plug a cord meant for the 45CT4 into a 45CT5, for example.

Metz 60 CT-2 and 45CT-5 are the only flashes that take series-500 adapters.

60 CT-4 takes the series 300 adapter.
